You’ve never seen him play a game for the Swarm, have you?

Or seen him half ass jog back down the court on defence with the Hornets, have you?

Nothing about this kid screams “leadership” to me.

He’s athletically gifted, no doubt about that, but he’s one of the most lackadaisical dudes who just sleepwalks through games that I’ve ever seen.

You earn leadership by setting an example for others to follow.

That ain’t Bouk right now.

I’ve said this before, this is just the kids demeanor, since I’ve watched him in his days at UConn. It’s frustrating but that’s just how he is. Not sure if it has to do with being from Brooklyn, how he was raised or grew up, or if that’s just how he is, but it doesn’t translate to how he actually acts. He was a leader on our UConn team, and while he wasn’t the most VOCAL leader, he led by example and with his actions, and he did show emotion once he was comfortable in his role. Clearly, to me, he isn’t comfortable yet, which isn’t surprising since he’s a rookie and can’t get minutes yet. Once he does, I do believe his demeanor will change. I’ve already noticed a difference, as if he’s been actively trying to change it. Time will tell.

Hayward can't have these sort of nights especially guarded by Duncan Freaking Robinson

Hayward just had covid and is clearly still winded and not ready to play. He had to play though because we stink when he doesn't. Unfortunately, he had no legs and his shot is off.

Disgusting display of halfassery. This team is in free fall. A young(ish) team losing games happens, but consistently giving terrible effort does not. Frequent blowouts do not. There is a serious lack of fire and focus. The team isn't on the right trajectory and changes are needed. Far too much coasty coasty nonsense.

We were worse with him. I highly doubt they rushed him back, we specifically held him back from the Boston trip.

they clearly rushed him back, it was easy to see he had no stamina and could not get his legs into his shot, after watching him play here for 2 years and noticing the difference you could tell he is just not ready yet

If by rushed him back you mean gave more time than is typical when guys come out of the protocol, then yeah they rushed him.

That's just Hayward, he always takes longer than the average athlete to heal and get his fitness back. And I hate it.

They don't care man. None of them are winners, none are cold-blooded. They all just want to go out and be cool and be bros and have fun. All you can do is hope Melo or Miles develop that killer gene or hope the team can acquire someone else who does have it

This roster could really use a Jimmy Butler type.

i wish we targetted Patty Mills in the offseason.
