I don't think there is a "next Magic Johnson".

Meh your right, Andre Drummond probably wont come down with HIV anytime soon....
----------------------------

On a more serious note I must say that I understand what you are getting at, and moreover that the league is no longer "organized" in a way that having a 6-10 pg would be reasonable instead of shifting a guy that size to another position....

Watched Perry Jones III last night and came away fairly "blah" about him.

He's too skinny. And not in an "LMA at college" type skinny where you could see he had the body to fill out a little, more in a Tayshaun Prince/Anthony Randolph/Lexy type skinny way where you just know that is going to be his body shape from here on out.

Willing poster, got some silky skills, runs the court like a champ. Just wasn't that sold on him.

Perry Jones was OK for Baylor in their win over ASU last night. 12 pts, 7 reb. and 4 asst. But when he has the chance to be televised, he has to come up much bigger to keep his stock high. That was a rather pedestrian showing by him.

Kentucky is still trying to get Kanter on the court.

Humble yourself.

Oh yea, that's right. :P

I dunno who I was thinking of when I said that. If Ellington was taller, I think he would have a chance at the NBA. Still, like Downey, I think he'll end up in Europe and could play in the NBA at some point if he continues to develop.

Tonight, I saw a few clips of Kemba Walker. Guy had a triple double for UConn tonight versus UMBC. He's pretty impressive and I think he's a player that we could legitimately get next year if he comes out. I think he'll fall behind names like Irving and Knight but could be just as good, if not better.

UNC Vs UK

Barnes Vs Jones.

Just got comfortable on the couch and getting ready to see which young fella steps it up on this big stage.

Great win by UNC. Kentucky screwed themselves with fouls to Jones and Knight at the end.

Big props to Tyler Zeller for making late FT's and playing an overall great game for UNC. The same goes to Doron Lamb of Kentucky because the big names from both teams struggled at times today.

It was a pretty good game. Fairly scrappy though. Not sure what coach Cal was doing with his subs in the 1st. That guy strikes me as a mental case and the kind of coach I would want to karate chop if I was playing under him.

Jones stat line wasn't reflective of his game. He took good shots mostly, just couldn't get them to fall. I'm sure he had more than 6 boards too.

Henson was really impressive. If guys are high on Perry Jones I'm not sure why they aren't equally high on Henson.

Oh, and Aaric Murray keeps on keeping on.

Just another 23 point, 13 rebound, 5 block game - this time against Oklahoma State.

Henson's overlooked with Barnes there, that's why.

That guy is definitely a top 10 talent, if not a top 5 talent, however he is majorly over-looked. His defensive skills are up there with the best in college basketball, if he isnt the best D-player that is...

Irving picks up 2 pretty early fouls in the 1st and is forced to sit for a lot of the half, then comes out in the 2nd and goes ape sh*t.

He's crazy efficient.

I played against Ellington last year in a high school tournament in Columbia. The kid is quick and athletic but he had no jumpshot. It was very inconsistant. But hes soooo athletic

IF we got a top 3 pick, who would be your guys pick right now?

My pick right now is a toss up between Kyrie Irving and Kemba Walker. Both players should be ready to make a John Wall type impact on any one of these these bottom tier teams, like ours next year. Best point guards in the draft bar none, i would be willing to trade DJ in a package to get them their dominant big man.

Hopefully, we suck so bad by January it forces MJ's hand to deal Jax/Wallace for some expiring contracts and an upgrade at the 2, like OJ Mayo.

I've REALLY liked what I have seen from Terrence Jones so I sort of lean towards him.

I think that Jared Sullinger offers some delicious positives (although there might be some red flags there I might struggle to get past).

Irving is an interesting prospect. I like him, but I'm not sure he's the CP3 type floor general some make him out to be - but that might be the Duke system?

Of all those guys, I honestly think that Terrence Jones has the most super star potential, and because of that, he'd be my pick.

Is there a center likely to go in the top 5 or so?

Return to Charlotte Hornets
