This was who I first thought of as he had a pretty automatic mid range shot as well. He couldn't do much else though.

Byron Mullens doesn't know when to back off with a ref. Not Stephen Jackson-like, but it's something he needs to control.

i dont see the image, who is it?
Mullens hasn't been tough by NBA standards. Silas doesn't need him to be a great defender or a great rebounder, but Mullens has to be adequate. He has to be engaged in those aspects of the game.
It was telling Wednesday, after Mullens scored a then career-high 16 points against the New York Knicks, that Silas focused on Mullens' five rebounds. The clear message: You'll play so long as you rebound and defend.

BigSlam wrote:"Engaged" is a very good choice of words. I can handle it if someone isn't great at something like defense, but they have to at least be willing. That's why guys like Morrison and May drove me nuts. They didn't even try.
I really liked the way Mully dirtied it up in the paint Vs Hibbert last night. He didn't seem to have a problem banging in the paint. Regardless of Hibbert having his way with Mully at times, there is no doubt the effort was there.

That's not very enlightening.![]()
The only thing you have explained is that when Larry rips the players it is bad but when Silas does it, it is good. And compared to Larry, what Silas is doing is worse because he's questioning a player's toughness. Larry on the other hand would mainly whine about what the team isn't doing right. Silas constantly calls out individual players. And he ain't smiling during his post game chats with the media.
