if Trailblazer lose a couple more I can see them shutting down Batum.

That will be the end of our pick for this year

Utah and Dallas both losing tonight,

Utah is fading fast, I think Dallas and Portland may catch them during this tough stretch they have coming up.

I sure hope we get that pick this year. Some of you think that this pick will make them a playoff team next year. I am more concerned that Hickson leaving might turn Portland into a mid lotto team. Then we might not see that pick for two more years.

i think portland could have a lot of cap space to throw money at a replacement for hickson. they probably will throw a big offer at pekovic.

They will have a little change Fats, but not a lot if they plan to keep Eric Maynor. They are sitting at 47 right now for next year. Resigning Eric alone should take them over 50. Then if they do get their pick this year that is another 3 mill on to the total. Of course if there is a significant increase in the salary cap this year they just might can do some things.

especially when you take that front court rivalry Portland and Minny has into account. There will be some team that offers Pekovic about 10 or 11 mil per season and the Blazers seem like the ones who might do it.

That's not necessarily a bad thing. We might lose a pick in 2-3 years anyway.

Portland beatdown the Bulls in Chicago to tie Dallas again. Damian Lillard is doing his best to deliver our pick.

Utah, Dallas, and Portland are all only separated by a game for 9th. The plot thickens.

I say Dallas and Portland make the final push and overtake both Utah and the Lakers (who were apparently still pathetic with their "core 4"). Dallas makes the playoffs, Portland and Utah miss out and LA falls to 10th. Portland comes 9th, giving us the 13th or 14th pick this year.

If they play like they did in the second half of that Wizards game, I beg to differ on that.

I say draft Shabazz with the POR pick

Shabazz Muhammad seams to have played his way down the draft board, with NBA executives and scouts categorizing the 6-foot-6 guard as a one-dimensional scorer.

"He doesn't really make anybody better," one executive said. "He is athletic. And he can score in a lot of ways. But I'm not sure what he does for everyone around him."

"I'd like to see if he can pass the ball," one scout said. "He's a scorer, not a shooter."

Muhammad averaged less than one assist per game during his freshman year at UCLA.

One general manager called Muhammad a "really talented kid," but also noted that "some nights he looks like the No. 15 pick."

He won't fall that far. He's fallen quite a bit since the beginning of the year, but no way he lasts past 10.

Dallas and OKC have to be salivating to get a player like him in their zip code. But he's perfect for Sacramento around 8 or 9.

Sacramento needs to blow the hell up and start over, but with Tyreke and Thornton forming one of the better tandems at the position in the league, I'd say they should look elsewhere in the draft. They should look for a big next to Cousins since they've already given up on Robinson.

Shabazz is the last thing Sacramento needs but he fits right into that team's culture.
