You still haven't answered my question on whether or not if you think Randy Foye has a better handle than Kemba since you mentioned acquiring him as a PRIMARY ballhandler and moving Kemba off the ball. Your answer will tell me a lot about how much should I read into your posts moving forward.

It depends on what we are talking about, Randy Foye tries to make a lot of passes Kemba will never try to make so there's that. As far as handles, they are likely comparable, but the whole idea was Kemba would be better off the ball in my opinion. Stats may say otherwise, but Kemba doesn't meet the distributor eye test to me, but he does meet the scoring test and I think a move to the off guard, with a bigger guard to cover him would be idea. Kyle Lowry would be good too, but we aren't getting him. So read what you want into my post moving forward what you would like.

Because he has and never will be a pass first PG. He's not a good enough shooter to be working off the ball either.

Everything you said was wrong. Kemba may not be your typical pass-first PG but he's a much better distributor than Foye is. Not only that but Foye is a much better shooter off the ball than Kemba. It's as if you're just typing just to type because it's not making sense.

Well then where does he fit with this team moving forward?

for the record - most everyone who reads this board knows i'm a big pargo fan, mainly because i think he is such a great shooter. (i used to claim him as the best shooter on the team, but tolliver is definitely arguing that claim).

i always wanted pargo to get the minutes that gordon was getting last year. pargo is slightly better defensively than gordon (hard to believe), a better playmaker and a better shooter (at this point in their careers). gordon is better in-between.

i also think we could get by with pargo as our 2nd pg, if we needed to trade sessions.

that being said, pargo's recent playing time suggests that defensively he is just too big of a liability to play large minutes. his role should be as our 3rd pg and an off guard in lineups that need a spark (maybe give him some of session's sg minutes when we are down and need some scoring and shooting).

I wouldn't bother with the thoughts of someone that think a 30-year old combo guard Randy Foye would make for a better point guard than a 23-year old Kemba Walker that happen to have almost a 12 percent advantage over in assist percentage for their career

Hornets re-sign Jannero Pargo.

Post#109 » by Elden Payton » Fri Jul 18, 2014 3:56 pm

Per the WT.

Free agent guard Jannero Pargo will re-sign with the Charlotte Hornets on a fully guaranteed one-year, $1.45 million deal, a league source told RealGM.

Pargo has spent the past two seasons with Charlotte, joining the team on a 10-day contract in March of 2013. In 29 games last season, Pargo averaged 4.7 points and 1.8 assists.

A 10-year NBA veteran, Pargo is a reliable reserve for competing teams. The 34-year-old has averaged 6.4 points and 35.5 percent three-point shooting while playing with the Los Angeles Lakers, Chicago Bulls, Toronto Raptors, New Orleans Pelicans, Atlanta Hawks, Washington Wizards and Hornets.

I can't believe that Commissioner Silver didn't step in and block this signing. The Hornets are way too loaded as it is.

Bring us that veteran leadership and four straight long jumpers in the dying minutes of blow-outs, Jannero.

On a serious note, we need guys like him with Lance around. Just the safe thing to do.

Mucho Jannero!!!

I know he won't play much but seeing Pargo come in in blowouts and try to get double figures in like two minutes is fun, it is a game within the game.

Every time I see Jannero's last name, I think of Fargo. Then I think of wood chippers. Can we call him the wood chipper?
