They are currently getting outplayed by a very young Orlando team. A trade might be in order to add some dependable depth to their bench if they want to be true contenders next year

Premature, indeed

Lamb finished that game off in a very clutch manner. I hope Cho is paying attention to Dwight Buycks though, because he ran the offense better than Reggie Jackson, and he has decent size. Buycks could probably be a solid pickup for Charlotte as a 3rd string PG if he continue to play like he has been throughout the 1st two games of summer league

drummond actually has decent hands, its what he does once he has the ball that is the problem

I completely agree if Buycks is an option for us. He's impressed me these past two games.

drummond has meat hooks instead of oven mitts. the ball sticks to the end of the meat hook when he catches, but when he goes to get rid of the ball its a mess. biz has oven mitts. he cant catch, but the ball leaving his hands looks pretty good.

MKG is another Ray Allen compared to MCW.

The more I watch Kelly Olynyk play well in summer league, the more I believe in Cody Zeller being a great pick, especially if he can translate that jump shot well enough to become somewhat of a stretch 4

Pistons better hope KCP straightens his shot out. He's been dreadful.

KCP was horrible to start last season at Georgia but he straightened up and found his stride around the middle of the season. He'll probably do the same as he translates his game to the pros. Until then, he does indeed look horrible. Cheers to the future 1st rounder that Detroit owes us. If KCP bust then that's great for us.

They'll give us their pick this year no matter what. They are too talented to be bottom 8.

But, I guess you never know with injuries. If Monroe misses a lot of time, they are in deep trouble.

I don't think it's a guarantee that Detroit won't be in the bottom 8 by the end of this upcoming season. The Pistons still lack quality/consistent guard play, Andre Drummond is still raw offensively, Josh Smith will be playing out of position, Greg Monroe is a mediocre defender in the paint, and Mo Cheeks is their coach. I don't think that is a recipe for success at all

...and Kelly Olynyk continues to impress in summer league thru 3 games (21 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assist, & 1 block)

It will be interesting to see how Olynyk's play translates once he plays against guys that aren't undrafted centers. A big reason why he's lighting it up is b/c he's often matched up with guys that never had to defend outside the paint before.

http://hoopshype.com/galleries/hoopshyp ... Idslide-64

players who made all-summer league teams as bobcats
jason kapono MVP
ray felton
matt carroll
sean may MVP
adam morrison
dj augustin
gerald henderson
kemba walker

(tyrus thomas, byron mullens, lonny baxter and reggie williams all made it as members of other teams)

what does this tell us? that summer league doesn't tell us much of anything.

I remember Sean Mays flashes of brilliance. What a waste.

That the guys we expect to be significant contributors to our team are better than guys that other teams are hoping can be the 13th man on the bench.
