I love how a future draft pick trade locks one team's fanbase into closely following another team. Chicago's board did it with us, and now we are doing it with Detroit. Cho should acquire more future firsts for our entertainment.

I think Stan Van Gundy saw the success of Steve Clifford using his principles in Charlotte and had a orgasm about the ideal of making a return to coaching. Van Gundy took the Detroit job because he want the glamour of turning a franchise around from a loser to a winner under his watch. There wouldn't have been much to salvage for Van Gundy if he chose Golden State and continued the same success as Mark Jackson where the expectations would've been 'championship or bust'

Golden State fired Jackson thinking they would land a big fish. Jackson must be laughing his ass off. Golden State is one franchise I would circle like a vulture if I were Cho.

Precisely, because Mark Jackson put them in a predicament as far as their next hire when he was quoted as saying "Now the pressure’s on for them to get a championship." Wise choice of words

If I were a coach I'd pause long and hard before entering that situation. The owners seem impatient, unreasonable, hard-to-please and the players fought to keep their coach. It's like walking into a classroom as a substitute teacher for the teacher of the year while the principal is a big prick.

I'll take another swing playing realGM for the Pistons.

Sign & trade Monroe to Celtics for Jeff Green and pick 17.

Select Doug McDermott @ 8
Select Shabazz Napier @ 17

Shabazz Napier-PG/Jennings
Jeff Green-SG/KCP
Doug McDermott-SF/Green
Josh Smith-PF
Andre Drummond-C

bring in more draft picks and make them dance! I do enjoy a good show...I am saddened that the pistons are going to turn this ship around but would question ability to run a front office and coach that is not an easy job

Jeff Green at SG is almost as bad as Josh Smith at SF

I agree but he's the only guy I could see providing anything of value to the Pistons other than that pick. Rondo will be staying put. Bradley can shoot but is a free agent. Maybe he's restricted?

I like how we've been speculating about the Detroit Pistons roster more than the Hornets lately, that Detroit pick has consumed us

Because Cho ain't making any dicey moves. He don't got the balls. Our only hope is the draft and overpaying for under the radar talent in free agency hoping they pan out better than expected. That's how we got Jefferson. Nobody thought he was worth $13.5 mil but us and he proved to be worth more. That's what we're gonna have to do with a guy like Stephenson this free agency but I don't think he's a Cho guy.

I dont understand why steve kerr is so popular he has never done anything, he is also going to have an awful time with the warriors because that team is maxed out in a brutal west.

I agree. Guess he couldn't get the "no Jim Dolan" clause added into his contract.
