One of my favorite college basketball performances ever happened in Greensboro

Randolph Childress in the ACC tournament vs UNC - the game with the iconic crossover.

Off top of my head... Hmmm.... not Jordan (Wilmington), Worthy (Gastonia), Walter Davis (Pineville), Bobby Jones (Charlotte). Not hall of famers - Perkins (I think NY), Kenny Smith (NYC), Stackhouse (Kinston), Jamison (Charlotte), Sheed (Virginia ?), Vince (Florida), Charlie Scott (?), Daugherty (Black Mountain),
Cunningham (NY, I think), Ford (? I think he was NYC ?, but is he HoF?, maybe for his great college career?), McAdoo (? maybe ?)

My best guess after process of elimination is Bob McAdoo. His good enough for HoF and I am not sure where he was born, but I think he is NC native. All the other HoF players I am fairly certain where they are from. If not McAdoo, my 2nd guess is Charlie Scott, although I would not have known he made HoF. I know he had some great years in the 70s though.

Did I win?

Yeah I'm in Whitsett, which is just outside Burlington, so about 20 minutes for me. I also went to UNCG. And yeah, I think Dave mentioned he's in the area.

Pretty pumped. Hoping I can find an internship or something with the team (no luck with the actual Hornets).

Nope, I'm seeing other teams this year, enjoying discourse from fans that aren't irrationally optimistic.

I can't imagine the depths of negativity it takes to feel like this board is irrationally optimistic. I would say there is probably a total of...I think I'm literally the only one on this board that could be framed as optimistic.

http://www.atthehive.com/2015/11/16/9743526/charlotte-hornets-deciding-between-greensboro-attack-buzz-and-swarm-nbadl

Apparently the name is down to Greensboro Attack, Buzz or Swarm.

I don't like the idea of Buzz, since we use that on our own jerseys "BuzzCity"

I guess they didn't like Stinkbugs. Bobcats and Cougars still my faves. But maybe they can't use Bobcats for branding reasons or something. Who knows.

I like Swarm. Attack seems too aggressive. and agree that Buzz is too closely related to Buzz City.

Nothing will top Mad Ants.

I too like Swarm.

Hopefully they own the rights to all the potential web addresses as well...good times.
