I hope we give the last roster spot to Tobey.

Kemba/Sessions/Roberts
Batum/Marco/Daniels
MKG/Lamb/Harrison
Marv/Frank/Tobey
Cody/Hawes/Roy

Thats not bad, but it still feels incomplete. I wonder if we could get a halfway decent SF for Marco and/or Daniels?

So what's the point of having a summer league? We should have just stayed home. Lol

This was the laziest offseason ever for the college scouting department. We got to shore up this area.

Hornets 2016 Summer League

Post#107 » by BlackOutBuzz » Fri Jul 8, 2016 12:51 pm

Someone named Ramon Galloway on the NotHornets is tearing up the Mavs right now. Not even sure he played before today.

Looks like Harrison got the day off.

passing on Devin Booker last year makes me sad. He's on a different level from everyone else in this game. Vonleh looks exactly the same as he did as a rookie, still a good rebounder, some flashes on both ends, not much feel for the game.

Yup.

Even looks good operating as a pseudo point guard as well.

Looks like he's started to drop some of that puppy fat as well. His body is looking good.

whats even worse is we supposedly really liked him. the vonleh draft too, didn't we really like mcdermott? those drafts probably took our ceiling down a notch or two.

I was pretty anti Booker before that draft, but I was dead wrong. We should have taken Booker.

Implication being Douglas Richard McDermott provides a higher ceiling than Nic Batum who aided Charlotte's MASH unit into 51 playoff + reg wins compared to 33 the previous season. Not to mention the 2014 draft also helped snag Courtney via Napier via PJ giving Nic a prolonged glimpse into the future should he accept the Hornets lighter bag of cash.

Only thing I want out of summer league that I KNOW we can get is Christian Wood. this guy could be had for as little as a second rounder. I like his game. He has a good outside shot, plays good D and can get his own shot.
UPDATED 5-5-2025

These are who I want with our picks in order

R1 - Flagg, Harper, Carter Bryant, Maxine Raynaud, Jase Richardson
R2 - Milos Uzan, WC 2, Kam Jones, Chase Hunter, Tyrese Proctor, Max Shulga, NiQue Clifford, Will Richard, J. Tonji

i would say booker would be replacing nic and doug would probably be the 6th man and replacing frank.

Kemba-Booker-MKG-Marvin-Cody

does Booker have a higher ceiling than Nic? i would say yes quite easily. and does Doug have a higher ceiling than Frank? I would say they are close to equal, probably a little advantage for Frank.

Well based on last season's rare playing time, we can rule out Aaron Harrison being better than anybody. Yet somehow he was the one on an NBA roster.
