:banghead: :o   Finally MJ gets it. It's past time to blow this up and retool with draft picks and players who want to win. Kemba/Dwight are really the only tradable pieces we got so trade them now....

6996135 Howard/Stone to CLEV for Thompson/Shumpert/..+..Brookyln pick (top 10)

6996163 Walker/Stone to NYK for Nkilikina,Thomas,Hernangomez,..+...NYK2018 1st round pick

RESULTS in:
3 2018 1st round picks 6-8-10?

Ntilikina,MCW, Monk
Batum,Lamb,Shumpert(IR),IR
MKG,Thomas Bacon
Williams,Kaminski, O'Bryant
Thompson Zeller,Hernangomez

We get 3 2018 draft picks in top 10
We have a deep bench 10 player rotation
We have 8 players under age of 25 and add 3 more at the draft....Instant rebuild
We have distribution 1st point guards in Ntlikina,MCM,(2018 pick) freeing up Batum,Monk, and Lamb to shoot.
We have Young players either starting or on the bench at every position before drafting more in 2018 draft.
We tank this year and host a playoff game next season.  :D :D :D :D :D

What do you want from us besides Booker? We have tons of draft picks and an expiring if you're looking for cap space. Not sure what the Hornets want tho.

There is no way they trade Walker and keep Batum. The whole purpose of the trade is to use walkers current contract as bait for someone to also take Batums god awful contract. Batum is so bad and has such a bad contact Kemba is essentially involuntarily sacrificing himself to free the Hornets of the black plague they call Batum.

He will go down in infamy as the brave soul who fough and sacrificed everything for the better of the Charlotte people. His name will go down in folklore and the story of his brave actions will live on for generations.

Honestly French Frank is the only potential trade out there that excites me. Phoenix is one of the few teams that could offer cap relief.

But all that said, I would rather keep Kemba.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

Get yourself a voodoo doll and some pins, i guess at this point everyone knows how you feel about Batum. And everyone knows how bad his contract is.

The video from Kemba is really moving. Knowing he and MKG were the leaders of this team and consulted before any big move, i find it really hard to believe that the organization really intends to trade him.

It might be a way to instill a sense of emergency among his teammates (and that would follow what we saw in last games, with much more responsabilites given to the wings and Kemba being patient, only scoring when necessary otherwise mostly distributing).

I pretty much agree with what scott fowler's write in his article.

Why can’t Charlotte hold onto their franchise cornerstones? LJ, Alonzo, and now Kemba. What’s up with that?

Put a APB out on everyone that was behind the Batum signing.

Agree with this. I don't really think we are moving him after what he said. It is strange to find someone actually showing loyalty to the franchise and even if the return is worth basketball-wise, perhaps it is not in terms of attendance.

P.S: and perhaps I'm going for the first time to the U.S. this year and I have a Hornets game in my sights, so they better not do any stupid move. :banghead:

You would be lucky to get Monroe, Knight and Ulis, if you insist on including Batum.

It's literally impossible to not regret becoming a fan of this so-called "team."

There's no way in hell the Hornets stay in Charlotte long-term. They're about to be the first NBA team to have worse attendance than their G-League team (and less talent, too).

Being terrible doesn't mean a team is going anywhere lol. Add onto that, that Charlotte added more residents but all but 9 cities in the country and its a fast growing city. And Jordan is our owner. Thats the last thing Im worried about honestly.

WTF? Here is the first time I see that article and I'm shocked.
I really hope they won't trade Kemba, especially if they're planning to trade him without Batum included.
Kemba is the face of this franchise and he need to be here in Charlotte for years to come. The decision to trade him is the worst decision ever made by our ridiculous board and I hope it's just a rumor.

Man, this news certainly is rough, especially because Kemba doesn't even want to leave...

IMO, it looks pretty bad that today we've come out and said that we're essentially willing to trade any and all of our starting 5. Just looks like such a defeated move. I mean, there's plenty of season left, and if we go on a run the playoffs are within reach.

Side note: Does anyone have ESPN insider? I'm curious to see the "Six Kemba Walker trades that work for both sides" article to get a better grasp for what we could potentially get out of Kemba. In the end, though, I really hope we don't give him up. Not too thrilled with the prospect of waiting out an extended tank.

Look guys... I’m not saying let’s trade Kemba because he is bad or I don’t like him. I think given the option he would be last player we trade. However, we don’t have the tools to turn this team around right now and picking 10th each year isn’t how that changes.

Trading Kemba gives us the chance to really make changes to this teams core and future assets. Just picking 4th vs 9th because of the Kemba effect alone makes the trade seem almost worth it. Throw in extra picks and salary dumps and it is a no brainer.

Nobody is giving us anything worth much for batum, Dwight, mkg or Marv. And our young players value is down because our coach plays the guys who don’t have trade value over them.
