His agent is the agent for numerous players in the league. Pull some stunt like low balling the hell out of Henderson and players around the league will take notice. I'm not saying we offer him large amounts of money, but we don't treat him like a red headed step child either.

I think this is the deal he was worth in the first place. We could have got him for less now that there aren't any other pursuers out there. I'd be more okay with 2/13. As I've said hundreds of times before, I don't feel good about a wing who can't shoot threes. I feel even worse about being tied to one for the next three years.

pretty impossible for it to be a very bad deal due to the length. 3 years is a nice contract for both sides. nice and tidy.

Will have player option in his 3rd year. He turned down a three year deal worth about 7 million per in order to have that player option for the third year. He must think he's going to break out.

That contract can be moved. SG still needs to be fixed.

Good, reasonable deal but the best part of it all is that we didn't cave in on his demands.

I have mixed feelings. If he improves and plays well, then I don't see how we win less than 35 games with all the teams not trying. And I don't want to let JT slip away since he looked so good in SL. I guess we can not play Ben Gordon, and just give Sessions/JT all the backup 1/2/3 minutes.

However, it makes Toronto look incredibly stupid as GH is a much better all around player. So thats a plus.

I called it. I said it a while ago that nobody was going to pay Hendo over $6 million in free agency. I'm happy that we were able to retain him for 3 years instead of 2 and that is a reasonable price so he can quite possibly still be moved as a valuable asset if need be.

About 20 people said anything between 6-6.5 a year. Everyone knew he wasn't getting 8 anywhere, especially the longer it dragged on. Good deal for us.

On a side note if the buzz people are going to act like a news outlet and report bobcats stuff they could at least give credit to who broke the story.
