Maybe when he’s mad he also reverts to his first 4 years in the league shooting?

3 of 12 for 25% in that stat line.

he was averaging 31.3/7.7/5/3 on 44.1/44.1/90.5 in the three games prior to the triple double and his TS% on the entire season is right in the middle of his prime numbers.

Biyombo back in the league with the Suns. Good for him.

Malik Monk has started the last three games for the Lakers. In the last four, since coming back, he is shooting 57.4% and 41.7% from three, good for 19.5 points per game at +15. LeBron James and Monk are working well together on the court--James has been on a fantastic tear, scoring over 30 the past seven games. He now averages 28.6 points per game this season, good for second in the league, and 6.6 assists.

And he celebrated his 37th birthday on Thursday. Amazing.

Monk has been efficient in his role this season for the Lakers. Hes at 59.9 ts% right now, which is about where he was all last season until he returned from injury. As I expected, he got his athleticism back after a healthy offseason and his 2pt% shot back way up (higher than 19/20 season) and hes already nearly doubled his dunk total from all last season in around 30 games. His 3pt% is at a respectable 37% on good volume, but so far he hasn't been quite as hot from deep as last season.

Based on the eye test he looks like hes made improvements with his passing iq and overall decision making and hes continuing to do a nice job of playing within the flow of an offense, but his role in LA is more limited than it would be here due to how many ball dominant guys they have, so he hasn't been able to show it as much as youd like (I think his general volume #s would be a lot better if he was on the Hornets). His role has been expanding more and more as the season has progressed and it seems most Lakers fans on here are happy to have him on the team, so I hope he can keep it up.

His defense was atrocious at the beginning of the season, but he has settled in and gotten back to like a normal bad, but not completely terrible level, for most of the season. I think hes improved a bit on that end from last season as well and I didn't think his defense was as bad last year as some of his rabid haters on this board insisted, but its close and hes still clearly a negative. I can't believe I'm saying this because it still feels crazy to say given the difference in their body types, but Monk is somehow not as bad as Kelly Oubre on defense (like seriously how is it possible for Oubre to be so bad at defense?).

1. oubre thinks he was put on the earth to shoot?
2. he's too cool for school?
3. he thinks his length can make up for good defense, so he reaches constantly looking for those 1-2 homerun steals?
4. he is a me-first selfish player?

dude is frustratingly terrible on defense 99% of the time.

“Houston, we have a problem.”
Wood's surprise absence from the starting lineup was due to his missing a mandatory COVID-19 testing window, per Shams Charania of The Athletic. He came off the bench in the first half and did next to nothing in his eight minutes, grabbing one board and missing all four of his field-goal attempts. Charania reports that Wood then informed coaches at halftime that he didn't want to play in the second half and subsequently refused to sub in. It remains to be seen how Houston will handle the situation moving forward

If Woods and Porter do not want to play, then they can be suspended without pay and sued for breach of contract. It would make no difference in Houston's losing season.

I've done a 180 on Wood in recent weeks, not just because of this. I think he could wreck our chemistry if we traded for him. The stats are nice but he reminds me of Charlotte Dwight Howard.

He's slid down my want list as well.

Makes it a lot easier when the refs allow you to camp out in the paint for 5-6 seconds like this!!

Honestly made me check. Caught it with 7 to go and dunked at almost exactly the 4-mark. Weaving in and out there a while though.

He entered the key before he caught the ball though.

The 3 second violation clock starts when you enter the paint, not when you catch the ball - and he was in there for 5-6 seconds.

Not sure but it looks like he had his feet out of the paint with 8 on the clock. Do you mean the part right before when he caught it and swung it over to Allen?

Boomers won't need Simmons next time.

Chris Paul knows how to gift him dunks. Biz does love the bigger, slower centres like Jonas
