REALLY? Because of the "load management" or why? For me, the team is as optimistic as ever, so genuinely interested, no trolling.

Phil Jackson, if he ever coached the Hornets.
This is such a great joke, I really appreciate your humor. Especially if you've seen the movie.

We went to the preseason opener against the Knicks in October, but haven't gone back yet due to player injuries/tanking/our personal and work schedules/desire to avoid tip-offs later than 6pm due to having a kid.

1. sadly I spent 25 years working In finance jobs that were primarily Excel. im good. Don't remind me.

2. So all the 30 or so movies are ranked from one to 30. It just so happens that I separated them into two different tiers the ones I had originally rated as 4 stars versus 3 stars. So adding another column and then sorting alphabetically defeats the purpose since they are already ranked. I mean sure I could do that and then add another column one to 30 and sort it that way but that's just extra work for something that was just meant to be a down and dirty quick ranking I put together for a buddy of mine. It's just rankings within two different tiers the 4 star tier and the 3 and 1/2 star tier.
next are you going to mansplain how to do v look up and macros And pivot tables?

This is tough we're talking about probably 100 plus games. Had season tickets from 2006 to 2014. It's hard for me to really remember the best of that years. so many amazing Gerald Wallace games to choose from. Also had the privilege of sitting in a sky box for a game once when Al Jefferson scored 40 against us when he played for Utah. Another game against Chicago when our seats got upgraded to one row behind the Bobcats bench and Jordan was sitting five feet away from me. Cool. Another time where they filmed an episode of One Tree Hill during halftime I think. And the characters for the show were sitting about 10 rows in front of us. Focusing on the original Hornets years.
- 2001, I think, playoff series versus the Heat where we swept them. I went to game three. It was best of five at that point in the first round. And we blew the doors off of them. That was the Baron Davis Ricky Davis eddie Robinson crew. After the game we snuck into the ground club back when it was exclusive and everyone was super excited and I ended up meeting Ray Woolrich who was drunk and had a Baron Davis style white headband. This was when there was the early rumors of them trying to move the team to New Orleans. And we were telling him please don't move the team to New Orleans and he was telling us how that would never happen in a million years.**** that **** **** ****
- I think it was early in the second season we played Golden State Warriors. That was the run dmc warriors. Dell Curry hit a three at the buzzer to win the game. Arena went absolutely bat **** crazy
- Probably the first game I ever went to which was early in that first season we played the Utah Jazz with Karl Malone and John Stockton and they absolutely destroyed us by like 40 points. But it was just really awesome to see.
Some honorable mention moments
- It was in the second year and Kelly Tripuka had a big game in a win and this was after he had been getting some criticism from the fans. And he broke down and cried at half court during an interview after the game. Hard to forget that.
- I think I saw a game where Patrick Ewing dropped like 50 on us which was pretty cool. And another game where Reggie Miller had like 50 in a game against us. The first time seeing Jordan play in person.
- Got some amazing seats one year I think it was 1994 or 95, Larry Johnson and Alonso morning Hornets although I think Alonzo was hurt. Anyway the game was on NBC. It was a weekend game that started at like noon. I don't know how many games we ever got on NBC but it was probably less than three. But that was really awesome. our seats were like 15 rows up half quart.
- This last one is not a Hornets game but probably my favorite memory I ever had at the old Coliseum. My dad somehow scored tickets to the 1991 NBA All-Star Game. I think that was the one and only game I ever went to with my dad. usually when he would get tickets he would just tell me to go with my friends. This was right after Desert Storm or right as Desert Storm was popping off and Branford Marsalis played the national anthem which was really cool. If I remember correctly Charles Barkley went off in that game and was MVP.

I can see this really struck a nerve.
1. sadly I spent 25 years working In finance jobs that were primarily Excel. im good. Don't remind me.Maybe I'm just lazy. No but seriously, I use that app to keep track of all my diaries and my ratings, but since I don't pay for the pro version I can't do statistics on the app. so i Was manually looking through all my movies last year in the app diary and then dictating them into a notepad on my phone. once I had them in the correct order I simply copy and pasted it into Google sheets. So 99% of this was me doing this on my phone while sitting on the couch.
2. So all the 30 or so movies are ranked from one to 30. It just so happens that I separated them into two different tiers the ones I had originally rated as 4 stars versus 3 stars. So adding another column and then sorting alphabetically defeats the purpose since they are already ranked. I did some digging on this a while back and there were actually about 10-11 Hornets games on NBC. Mostly playoff games, but a couple random regular-season tilts in the '93-'96 range as well against Orlando and Phoenix.
The Hornets have played how many games on ABC?
One. 2016 Eastern Conference First Round Game 7 at the Heat. That's all.

Nice digging
The NBC game was definitely regular season. It might have been vs Orlando. I can't remember.

Added you on Letterboxd. Saw The Substance on Saturday but wanted to let it sink in a bit. Never has such nudity been so horrifying. I really enjoyed it and think I might rewatch it to figure out my best picture rankings in a few weeks. Great visual storytelling, lots to say, but kept the pace pretty high. Easily the best thing I've seen from the Academy's nominations so far. What did you think? Looks like I rated it a 1/2* higher than you, but I'm still calibrating.

I mean obviously I really liked it. Ranked as my third favorite movie of 2024 behind only Anora and Godzilla. And Godzilla really was kind of late 2023. I gave it a 4 which for me he's pretty high. Anything over three and a half for me is a pretty good endorsement. Anything over 4 is getting into rare territory. I think I've only given like 3 movies of 5 ever. One of them being Paddington two.
My only complaint with the movie really was the last 20 minutes. obviously, they made some choices. Maybe they took it a bit too far maybe not. But at the end of the day it didn't really take away from the visuals the overall story the acting and the message.
Finally got around to watching Saturday night. I actually really enjoyed it I'll probably give it a three and a half. I think they did a great job capturing the chaos of what must have been that first night of SNL. I've pretty much watched snl religiously since about 1987 I think.
My girlfriend and I were having a debate about the comedy trees. The same way that we talk about coaching trees - everyone that came out of Dean Smith or Popovich or coach K. The snl comedy tree is out of control. Obviously it dwarfs anything else. You have the National Lampoon's comedy tree which probably has some overlap with SNL. The Judd Apatow comedy tree. You have the mad TV comedy tree. the living color comedy tree. The old school British comedy trees with John Cleese etc. But nothing comes close to snl.

The franchise lost me completely this year, can't explain it.. I guess the early losing streak and the offense being bad and the rookie not able to contribute and the team just seems light years away

We saw Presence on Saturday. I thought it was really good, just don’t go in expecting traditional horror. Super interesting ghost story by Soderbergh

If I hit the mega millions lottery I'm buying the Hornets and moving them to Myrtle Beach.
Carolina Waves will be the team name.

Well considering I would want the team in the Carolina's yes Myrtle Beach is sadly the best we have to offer. I'm trying to attract stars. You can't do that in Charlotte which is like the poor man's version of Atlanta.

What are millionaire athletes who like to party and have fun going to do in Wilmington and Charleston?
Myrtle Beach gives you the nightlife and you have the beach. This is the best you can offer in the Carolina's. I'm telling you Myrtle Beach is probably the most visited city in all of the Carolina's.
