Steve Reed ‏@SteveReedAP 31m

Watching Michael Kidd-Gilchrist shoot at practice his jump shot looks noticeably improved. He no longer bends his elbow in.

I honestly did not think MKG would be able to change his shooting motion. It appears I was wrong. Credit to him for willingness to change.

Not to rain on his parade, but didn't he do the same last summer before changing to his old habits during the season?

I'd have to see it in games still but good news either way!

Does anyone remember how bad of a shooter B Diddy was his rookie year? Anything around the FT line and out and you might as well start looking for the rebound.

I definitely think he had changes in his shot last year in practice. I thought it looked totally different in games though.

This time a year ago Price had been hired for a week, I think it stands to reason there would be more progress after a full year.

I see MKG is regaining a normal shooting form again. This is good news

I can't wait to see him in action again. I just hope it's not in a Jazz uniform :(

Mark Price is doing good work. I'm happy to see some progress and improvement. To be able to keep this form, he needs to keep shooting and practicing every day for a few more years though. Shot like his doesn't get fixed overnight.

He's not jumping as high that's for sure.

Also that was nice seeing Vonleh nailing those bank shots.

Looks like MKG is becoming close with PJ. Not sure if that's a good thing for him. Seen a lot of video/pics of them together.

Maybe it is a good thing for PJ. Have a friend in town to hang out with and get away from his current crowd. By all accounts MKG is a great guy so I like having him take Hairston in and befriend the guy. Strong positive influence on the team that is the same age.

absolutely. MKGs leadership and high character are some of his best assets. he is absolutely the type of guy that will hopefully provide some guidance for PJ. i am not worried in the least about MKG getting sucked into PJs lifestyle.

as for his shot, none of this means anything to me until we see different results during actual games. he can shoot the ball out of his ass for all i care, as long as it goes in the basket.

the thing i hated the most about his hitch/shooting form was not that it was bad shooting form for making shots. enough players have proven you can make shots with awful form, but more that it was slow and too easy to block. no way he is getting that shot off, with the hitch, quickly, in traffic.

Looks a little bit better than it did when he was practicing last Summer. Means nothing until he shoots like that in actual games as previously mentioned, though.

Agree looks improved over last summer. Problems persist; a slow progression to release, shot looks guided versus flowing, and the mechanics look hard to replicate off anything in game other than an unguarded set shot. Positives; less hitch, release is prior to top of jump instead of coming down, and a smoother motion. Noah has a very nice stroke and shows consistency for a big man.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Couldn't get that far. Too annoying to weed through all of the PJ talk.
