Re: Around the NBA 11
Lance Stephenson played 28 minutes tonight for Indiana. They beat Utah (minus Gobert and Ingles) by 12 and he had 14 assists and 4 steals.
What a cool but **** weird story.

I know it’s stupid but I’d love to pick up tacko fall when he’s released. I love the lanky giants

On 1/2 against Dallas, Josh Giddey put up 17 points (7-16 FG, 3-5 3PT), 13 boards, 14 assists, and 4 steals. Dude turned 19 last October.
Kid is gonna be real good.

I was nervous the athleticism of the nba would hurt his game, so glad to be so wrong.
He’s like the anti Simmons as well, will always give the team 100%

Pelicans are quietly finding their way back into the play-in picture. Only 1.5 games behind Portland (who may blow it up soon) for 10th in the West.
I would love for them to hit a couple hot streaks in the second half of the season and gift us that 1st round pick.

I like Giddey to some degree, but people get too obsessed with triple doubles. At end of the day he is still only averaging 11 pts on 40/28/68%.
He is 6-8 ball handler and only averages 1.3 free throws per game. He also has 1 dunk all year,
Just for comparison sake LaMelo has 19 career dunks.
At end of the day, I think Giddey is a great pick and roll engine, but if you watch he has no ability to isolate and actually go by someone, it is all pick and roll generated. He can be a good player, but I would take at least 5 rookies over him probably.

Doncic mocking Mo Wagner moved him up a few notches for me. Those guys were a couple of clowns to an embarrassing level. I get LaMelo adding extra flair to an alley oop is probably obnoxious to some but those 2 legit spent the entire game flexing or crying to the refs

Mavs are cutting WCS...apparently he's been out for most of the year due to personal reasons...if that weren't the case he'd be a better stopgap C than Plumlee.

Wolves leading the Warriors by 10 to start the 4th playing some honestly gripping defense.

I watched some of the Pels and Celtics. I'm glad Devonte got paid, but dang he looks awful this year

He was always very limited. He seemed like a good guy and team mate but I'm glad we didn't buy the fools gold.

Re: Around the NBA 11
This news of Sixers wanting to hold Ben Simmons and potentially trade him to Nets for Harden is almost too funny.
1. They could have done this same deal with Houston essentially a year ago and would of had two years of Harden instead of Simmons.
2. Simmons would be on the Rockets, out of conference. out of mind.
3. If they trade him for Harden. You are giving Nets Kyrie, Durant and Simmons. That actually is a really good big 3 you have to play against.

I don't think Kyrie has a long future in the league, the no vaccine thing will catch up with him.

Harden seems like a perfect fit in Philly so it can work both ways. Without Harden, the Sixers are a 5 or 6 seed. It's possible neither team wants to help the other. Both teams are top-heavy and have windows closing fast. If Morey could leverage the Harden possibility by getting a Western Conference team to ante up, Sixers could improve without helping a rival and direct threat to their window. At the same time, I doubt Klutch wants Ben to end up in Sacramento, San Antonio, or even New Orleans although Simmons did attend LSU for one year. Morey can posture like the Sixers have a viable plan for the offseason, generating expediency for teams pursuing him now. But I can't imagine the Sixers want to just shave off one year of Embiid's window. They lost to the Hornets at home and barely escaped Charlotte with two wins against a decimated Hornets team. If Morey doesn't improve the Sixers in-season they are toast and he's basically punting one year. I'd love to face them as is in a playoff series provided we add a legit big to slow Embiid. We could upend them.
