That's what I love about Hendo and a lot of our players, he/they seem to be very aware of what they need to work on. His 3P% upped from 23% to 33% last season. If he can get closer to 38% in the next two seasons it would be a huge boost to our team, and he would be well worth the contract we gave him.

That's the benefit of drafting the "high character" guys we keep drafting. I know Hendo is a holdover from the days when we drafted whoever the **** we wanted to draft, but he's a hard worker, pretty smart, and plays the right way, so at least we got one right before Cho took over.

That's why he's still here and Cho didn't decide to bring back Mullens, Augustin, etc.

And it also creates a great atmosphere for when we get new players. It's much more difficult to not work hard when the whole team is. I feel like we finally have a sane environment for our players to develop in.

That's definitely the theme and the environment of the franchise right now, high basketball IQ guys with great work ethics. A lot of people criticize Cho for the decisions he has made since being at the helm of the Cats, but I couldn't be more pleased with his transactions. I want to smack everyone in the mouth for ever suggesting or thinking that trading our young franchise players for DeMarcus Cousins was a good idea.
Mike Malone was never given a fair chance in Sacramento, and Ranadive will soon come to regret that, when he's on top of the WC inevitably contending somewhere

X-factor Hendo...

"Charlotte faces something of a developmental crux this season, as none of its three core perimeter players — Henderson, Kemba Walker and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist — shoots three-pointers at anything close to a league-average level. Such a combination is untenable in today’s NBA. Without that deep-shooting threat, the Bobcats lack the means to punish opponents for crowding the paint or over-helping against penetration. Any attempt at floor balance is compromised because there’s really no penalty for allowing any of the three to make clean catches beyond the arc."

Yep.

We have a particular someone who's supposed to be pretty good at teaching guys to shoot. It'll come with time for Kemba and Henderson. MKG may be a little further down the road, but I think we'll start seeing a decent mid-range game by the end of the season. He was a decent free throw shooter last year, so it's not like his shot is unfixable like Rondo's or something.

Before signing his contract Hendo was sprouting about how much work he was doing to improve his 3pt shooting.

I guess the money killed that plan?

I hope all his good play wasn't just for the contract

I'm really down on Hendo right now.

He said he was apart of the problem when they were the worst team ever and he wanted to be part of the solution. All his talk about improving his shooting and being a big part of the rebuild seems to be just lip service.

It looks like he worked on nothing once he got paid.

I gave him to much credit in genuinely thinking he was going to keep working to improve himself.

I think he's just going through a slow start phase. He'll pick it up soon...Hasn't he always had slow starts to the season in the past?
