Interesting?

Value Picks in 2012 NBA Draft

Just look to the past 3 drafts for examples:

2011 – Kemba Walker (#9), Isaiah Thomas (#60)

What did Kemba Walker have that Isaiah Thomas didn’t? A couple inches, an amazing NCAA tournament run, and exposure. Thomas put up similar numbers (and was actually a better shooter) and showed similar knack for late game heroics, but he did so in a down Pac 10. That combined with his height (which somehow didn’t stop teams from reaching incredibly on Johnny Flynn) led him to become the NBA’s Mr. Irrelevant. It didn’t even matter that Thomas displayed better PG skills. After each player’s rookie season, would the Kings trade Thomas for Walker straight up now? Not a chance.

LMAO, the irony is strong with this write up, anyone with eyes could see when Kemba played Isaiah head to head, Thomas couldn't even stay infront of Kemba and had to foul just to slow Kemba down, Ironically the only reason Thomas is seen as better then Kemba now is because Thomas has had more exposure. Thomas has had the luxury to be on a team that has been in the lottery for the past 5 or so years, so they're more stacked with quality talent, Kemba has had the displeasure of being on a recently blown up team devoid of any real quality talent.

Just look at their head to head
Thomas
10 pts 3 ast 3 rebs 4 fouls.
Kemba
13 pts 11 asts 5 rebounds 2 blocks 2 fouls

NBADraft.net

where Adam Morrison = Larry Bird
Deshawn Stevenson = Micheal Jordan..

Some great (hilarious) quotes from that article:
Robinson vs Nicholson
He has the same offensive skillset and the only skill where he significantly trails Robinson is rebounding.

yeah because rebounding isnt important at all in the NBA for a PF now is it?

Barnes vs Taylor and Joseph
The vast difference the draft projection between them and Barnes comes from Barnes being a much better shooter.

God forbid shooting be a factor in the NBA....

I don't think any rookie from this class, outside of maybe Rubio, has had more exposure than Kemba.

It's not like we have been drafting at the tail end of the 1st round for the past 7 years.

Kyrie Irving Receives 117 Out Of 120 First Place ROY Votes

Ricky Rubio finished second, followed by Kenneth Faried, Kawhi Leonard, Iman Shumpert, Klay Thompson, Isaiah Thomas, Brandon Knight and Chandler Parsons.

Faried, Leonard and Shumpert each received one first place vote apiece.

look at shumpert getting that NY media hype. what a ridiculous 1st place vote. some of the voters really should lose their voting rights.

I disagree. He played very good defense and at times lock down defense all season long. Very hard to be a good defensive player on the perimeter nowadays even for a veteran, but he did it as a rookie. Got to give him props for that.

Not rookie of the year props.

That I agree with. But the vote was more symbolic than anything else. In NY they value defense over anything else.

His awards ballot.

It is the most disgraceful list I have ever seen in my entire life. I honestly think my 5 year old son could compile a better list. He needs to be fired.

Mainly has to do with not even having James Harden in the top 3 of 6th man awards.

Almost makes me angry to see something so idiotic.

Anybody think NY would do a Jeremy Lin for Kemba Walker trade?

Lin will be incredibly valuable to whatever team he's on, regardless of basketball talent. I would do this trade.

if i was NY i'd rather have lin. kemba may be a new york legend, but his marketability pales in comparison to lin's.
