Glad I'm not the only one admitting it! Intelligence in sports is overrated. Or rather, it's only one way to be good. Guys like rondo are good because they're smart. Guys like Dwight are good because they're huge.

I don't think it makes a difference at the C position. If you have an athletically talented buffoon, you can do damage. As long as he stays out of trouble "off the court", I'm not really concerned about a C's intelligence or lack thereof. It's nice when you have an intelligent guy (like Biz) but it's not necessary if he has the body and skill set.

Intelligence is great for PG's though. That's why you see so many of them turn to coaching when they retire.

you can be intelligent and still be immature.

at least we would have great role models for drummond, like tyrus thomas and gana diop. scary.

Bismack can be to Drummond what Blake was/is to DeAndre

drummond needs more than biz.

biz can motivate him
he needs a smart veteran center to teach him the ropes (not diop and mullens)
he needs a real coach that can teach him
and he needs a patient front office and fan base

if we can do these things, drummond could work. if we arent willing to surround him with the support he needs we would be wasting a pick.

I really think Biz and Drummond could push each other to greatness. Biz though young has seen it all as an international professional and has a great work ethic. Drummond is more naturally gifted and as an American more fluent in basketball. Biz will push Drummond to work harder to overcome his work ethic and Drummond will push Biz to work harder to keep up with Drummond's natural gifts.

1. Draft Andre Drummond
2. Acquire Emeka Okafor and 10th pick from Hornets
3. Draft Jeremy Lamb
4. Trade for Rudy Gay
5. Re-brand as the Kannapolis Huskies

6. Profit

I'm hoping that whoever we land as the next HC will bring Ewing on as the lead assistant and he would be perfect to help groom Drummond. Many credit Ewing to Dwight Howards development of an offensive game and he could do something similar with Drummond.

As for other veteran players, it's not like they're growing on trees. Chris Kaman's stock seems to have taken a nose dive. Could we sign him to a reasonable deal and have him be our big man vet?

I can't pin point why, but that seriously made me laugh out loud.

Rumor: Blazers Sending #6 and #11 To Cavs To Draft Brad Beal

http://thehoopdoctors.com/online2/2012/ ... brad-beal/

Anybody saw this? I hope they call us with that offer. I'd give them 2 and run for 6 and 11.

I actually think Biz was the freak athlete of last year and Drummond is this year. Physically, they're both magnificently gifted. Just stupendous.

I do like Kaman's post attitude.

Considering they will trade that package for four we should really ask for the restrictions on their pick(that we own) to be rescinded and their second round picks.

If that rumor is true, we should take Beal @ #2 and hold him hostage.

Is Biyombo & Drummond too similar to take the latter? Granted, @ 6-9 I don't see Biz as a center, but to have two players with such limited post games on a team with very little in perimeter offense would be a disaster.

It makes sense. Man, that trade would work out great for the Cavs. They can draft Drummond and another quality lottery player. Drummond will do great along side kryie Irving.

Guess we can kiss that trade secnario goodbye.
