I am not a Queenslander, they are the rednecks of Australia.
WA people are known as sandgropers as we have the best beaches.

Is North Carolina like a big college town?
What i'm basically asking is what is there to do out there?

It's largely dependent on what city.

Raleigh (NC State), Durham (Duke) and Chapel Hill (UNC) are obviously big college towns. all three cities are relatively close to each other. that part of the state is huge college basketball area. south of charlotte, into south carolina you have Clemson and U of South Carolina. those areas are huge college football areas.
charlotte itself is not really a huge college town outside of the many duke and carolina fans. charlotte has it roots in NASCAR and pro wrestling. also a big panthers town. used to be a huge NBA city back in the 90s. lots of bankers and transplants from up north. city has grown tremendously the past 30 years.

your Freo Dockers are going pretty well this year Fats.
They have an easy schedule till the end of the season and if they secure home ground advantage by finishing in the top 2, they will be very dangerous.
The wife and her mother have already committed to flying over if they make the grand final.

and i havent been able to catch them on TV once. i look every weekend at fox soccer plus and never see then on. and i think fox soccer channel is going away in sept since they lost the rights to premier league to NBC. i wonder if any other channel will pick up AFC here. at least playoffs and grand final should be on tv.

Re: Off Topic V
i am thrilled to see the people in florida stand up and get angry about lebron receiving a police escort to a concert. i honestly cant fathom how any police officer thought this was a good idea. and did lebron really think the people would be excited to see his instagram movie of him receiving a police escort? is he really that out of touch with the world? yes, i think he is, and has always been.

Lebron is a douche and i'm pretty sure he thinks he is above people.

Re: Off Topic V
I agree that Lebron is a bit of a douche, but I could care less about what he does off the court honestly, as long as he's not doing stuff like beating his girlfriend or sexually assaulting people. This is a non-story.
