You pay Lamb what he's worth. We've developed him. He's only 26 so the next contract should include some of his prime years. Sorry, but his value and worth is not easily found on the side of the street. The guy deserves a shot this year. If he fails we move on, but why bring him along so slowly and then say bye go use what we taught you for some other team.

Get rid of MKG or Marv. We know what they bring. MKG is the worst of the bunch. I like the guy but he's not a starter in this league.

I agree with this right here

Send MKG to the Kings for Shumpert (expiring) and Labissiere. MKG should work good between Bagley and Hield. Then we trade Frank

We save 11.5 million for next offseason and add a young prospect with potential, who could replace losing Frank.

Would getting rid of MKG and not paying Frank give us enough to sign Kemba and Lamb

what is Charlotte willing to put on the table in incentives to get out from Batum's contract?

Lamb, all our second rounders :)

Okay, seriously: if a well protected 1st does the trick, I would gladly give you a first. But I mean lottery protection for years.

Batum would be such a fine player for Spurs too. There he is not a dead contract. Pau would help our cap, so I’m leaning towards giving a pick.

What is your starting offer?

I'm all for trading mkg for an expiring deal and a prospect and giving lamb a year to really prove what he's worth as the starting shooting guard. I'm fine with that. I just see it is very unlikely to happen that's all. And paying people what their worth sounds good in theory, but that's what got us in this situation to begin with. Marvin mkg batum all signed for what they were worth as evidenced by other teams chasing them that summer for similar money, in fact both of those Marvin batum contracts were below what they could have signed elsewhere. It doesn't mean that we should have done it though.

Main point being, we would have been much better off cashing in on Marvin and mkg while they were under their last contracts. We could have received a lot more value for them had we traded them earlier. I'd rather go ahead and move lamb and Frank now since they still have value being on cheap contracts. I feel like we could get decent return for them. The last thing I want to do is either lose either them through free agency and receive nothing or to pay them an inflated contract.

This is more speculation than anything else - it really depends on the Kawhi situation and return ... but I can see it leaving us a hole at SF.
That being said, I'd be asking for a first (top 10 protected until 2021 ) and your 2019 2nd round pick.

I'd do this, another idea I like is Marvin and Frank for Dudley and Bender.

I wouldn't mind using Lamb/Frank to move MKG or Marvin. It's fun to talk about the MLE and Dwight TPE, but there still isn't enough room under the tax to use both.

What would Phoenix pay for 1 year Kemba rental? We could send MKG + Kemba to Phoenix for Jared Dudley + Brandon Knight + 2019 1st + 2021 1st

Stockpiling 1st round picks is what we need to do.

Wall, Beal, and Porter are getting ready to cost the Wizards 90 million for 3 players. They need to offload one of those contracts before Wall gets to the 40 million years. With them trying to unload Gortat already, I propose a deal that spreads their money across 3 potential starters for one high end starter. Makes them a deeper team.

Marvin, Frank, Lamb, 2020 1st to the Wiz for Beal

Wall / ?
Lamb / Oubre
Porter / Troy Brown
Marvin / Morris
Frank / Mahinmi

Kemba / ? (Graham)
Beal / Monk
Batum / Miles
MKG / Miles
Cody / Willy

I really liked Gasol ... 2 years ago. I didn't like the Gasol I saw last year and now that he has had trouble with two coaches, there is no way that I would put him on this team with a largely rookie coach.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

Not too many teams ready to deal for MKG or Marvin.

Now, I’d like someone to figure out how we could do a 3way with Cleveland and San Antonio send Kemba MKG and either Batum or Marvin packing. Spurs willing to send Leonard to an east coast team. I’m sure LeBron would want him on Cavs along with Kemba.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

MKG to MIL for Dellavedova + Sterling Brown

MIL seeking Delly trades
Delly brings toughness at backup PG
Brown promising 3&D get him away from MIL police
trade saves CHA $3M this season

I don't think Cleveland has the assets to trade for both

Marvin and MKG to OKC for Carmelo

OKC tried to make Melo a catch and shoot guy last year because Westbrook is so ball dominant. Marvin is a much better fit in that role for them and he is a much better defender than Melo. MKG gives them more bench depth and gives them another defender to throw at Houston and Golden State. Pg13, MKG, Roberson, Marvin, and Adams is a lot of defensive talent to throw out there.

As for Melo in Charlotte? He is a big expiring (27 million) and that would be a perfect way to dump Marvin and MKG to gain the cap flexibility we need next offseason. Maybe we agree to buy him out after the trade so he can sign wherever he wants to. Maybe we send him to a third team for their expirings. Maybe MJ wants to keep him for marketing, and he agrees to play here for one year to be our second scoring option and rebuild some of his value for one last contract.

That Beal trade is terrible value for WAS.

Very curious how CLE views Hill if LeBron leaves.
