#12 - Luka Samanic
#36 - Tyler Cook
#36 - Darius Bazley, Joshua Obeishie, Jordan Poole, Matisse Thybulle, Isaiah Roby, Jalen McDaniels,

Invite BJ Taylor to camp

Kemba, BJ, Graham
Lamb, Obeisie
Bacon, Bridges
Samanic, Frank
Cook, Biz

Not sure. It is narrowed to Samanic and NAW at #12 for me. #36 I guess I should go with COOK there but I am really hoping Obeisie falls to #51.

Samanic might be on the board at 36. Cook will most likely go undrafted.

I think I am gonna just draft my 3 favorite players in the draft because I would be so hurt if we missed out on any of the them. (I really like Jalen Mcdaniels and Isaiah Roby but since they play the same position they cancel each other out since I only have 3 picks).

#12 - Obeisie
#36 - Cook
# 51 - B.J. Taylor

There I did it. I feel better now.

If Samanic is on the board at 36 that would be so awesome. I read that Cook didn't get an invite to the combine initially but he did however get one through the G-league and I heard that he did well at the combine.

Good find. Offensively he has lots of potential. Very decisive.

Defensively however...woof. Even when he plays back he gets blown by. He makes up for them in the highlights but even then a lot of those blocks are fouls against above the rim and craftier players.

If he's there at 36, he's a good get. No way at 12 though imo.

You shouldn't dismiss it, he seems to be Gogaining momentum as a potential lottery pick the closer we get to the draft.

Looks like we'll end pre-draft workouts with 18 sessions and over 100 players, both about double what we usually do. Thirty of those names fall into The Stepien's 7 tier/99-player prospect rankings. Here they are by tier, with green room invites highlighted. Image

I’m really torn on Kevin Porter Jr.

He seems to have a lot of what we (and Kemba) need from the 2 spot - but is he any better than Monk? He’s bigger thank Monk at least?

Also, how big a concern are his off-court red flags?

With the togetherness of our roster would that make our locker room the perfect place for him?

I think my ideal draft would see the Celtics fall in love with someone who’s there at #12 and be fearful they won’t make it to their 1st pick so they trade up with us.

#12 and #36
For
#14, #20 and #22

Then we take a combination of Fernando, NWA, Cam Johnson etc.

Or we package the #20 or #22 for a 1st and 2nd round pick next year.

Or attach #20/#22 to a contract (Bats, Cody or Biz) to get out of it.

Hey Slam, The Stepien in the last 24 hrs posted a bolus of new in-depth scouting reports including this one on Porter Jr so you can read up and decide for yourself:
https://www.thestepien.com/2019/06/18/kevin-porter-jr-scouting-report/

But I saw this earlier, and his suspensions at USC were for being late and missing practices and smoking weed. I just don't think our organization can handle any knuckleheads, so Porter Jr is one of the 2 guys in this draft I hope we don't select:
Kevin Porter Jr. is a low-level passer and a low-level decision-maker. I didn’t see the high school tape. Maybe he was better there, but the college tape paints him as a prospect with JR Smith or Lance Stephenson type upside.

I don't like Porter. I especially don't like his jumper. I want a sniper at the two, or at least a big bully who can get buckets. That's not Porter

I read that the first time and thought it said Cam Reddish. It’s a good thing I caught it or I would have gone and played in traffic!

I have a feeling we are taking Goga at 12. If not I can either see Clarke or Hachimura. I don't mind Goga, ify on Hachi but don't want Clarke.

Rui, Bol, PJ, and Langford didn't do any individual team workouts. And Hayes + Sekou are both expected to go top 10, so their agents probably wouldn't let them workout for the Hornets.

Zion = Lenny Cooke. Ya never know lol. I remember years ago Reggie Freeman thought he was gonna get drafted. He threw a big party and everything.
