We won't know if it was the right pick probably for 2 years.

If Miller ends up the better player, then obviously he was right pick.
If they end up being basically same level of player, Miller was probably still the right pick due to fit and positional need.
If Scoot ends up being significantly better after 2 years then there is a conversation, but I legit am not worried about making this call before either scores an NBA bucket.

SG/SF is absolutely where he should be, especially as a rookie. He'd get thrown around as a PF at the moment.

We'll find out around February when he finally gets steady minutes

Coach Clifford wrote:he provides excellent size on the bench, really fills a space. This role should not be understated, its all part of his growth to becoming a player

Personally, I don't think he is strong or physical enough to play the 4 currently, but in 2-3 years he probably can slide down to that position for stretches of games pretty easily.

I'd only play him at the 2 or 3, where he'd almost always have a size advantage.

Coach Clifford
"Look, you know, Brandon's great length for his position, you know, talk to the guys around the league like Michael and Patrick, they'll tell you that having size is a big advantage, so for brandon, you know, his size will be great for that third unit"

lol, whenever Cliff talks up a player like this I don't take it seriously to your very last insert. But I'll say, I think he identifies Miller's IQ and that is the sort of thing that gets his rookies playing time. Also, if he lobbied for Miller over Scoot then he surely will be playing him serious mins right?

Well if Martin isn't ready for the season, McGowens the chucker is behind due to injury and Bridges suspended 10 games, I would say that Miller is guaranteed 20 minutes at least for the first 10 games or so and hopefully in those games he exceeds expectations and forces us to play him

There is no world in which McGowens should be taking B-Miller mins, but it also would not shock me in the least.

Yes he does have superior positional size if you play him at SG! Which is why, while if MIA would trade Herro for Rozier I understand why you have to do that, instead of trading for and spending all that money on Herro I would just go with the LaMelo Ball Brandon Miller Miles Bridges Pj Washington Mark Williams starting five right now and save yourself a ton of cash.

if I were Cliff, I'd start Miller at sg from day 1, move terry to a 6th man role. melo, miller, hayward, pj, mark (to start season); melo, miller, hayward, miles, mark (eventually)
bench of terry, cody if healthy (frank), thor, (bryce/nick) pj, nick.

Save our cash lol. We are really good at that, hence our bottom 5 payroll.

Heaven forbid we pay someone and be middle of the road when it comes to our payroll.
Instead lets be dead last in both payroll and standings.

I would too, but there's no way Cliff has the courage to do that

I think I'd rather bump Hayward as opposed to Rozier, primarily for injury concerns. A bench rotation of Rozier - Cody - Hayward - Thor - Richards is interesting.

We don't even need to be talking about Miller at the 4 with this roster. 4 is more than set even if we go small.

i still don't want Rozier playing point guard though, even off the bench
