there are 35 players in the league who have averaged more 3PA/G than hendo over the past two years (>1.3), while shooting a worse percentage (<32%). minimum games played set at 50.

off the top of your head, would you have considered any of these players to be a worse 3pt shooter than hendo?

kobe bryant
russell westbrook
luol deng
andrea bargnani
luke ridnour
shannon brown
stephen jackson
tobias harris
shannon brown
rodney stuckey

http://bkref.com/tiny/eW4U8

sure, none of the guys on that list are scary 3pt threats, but they are also guys who arent scared to let it fly when they get a good look.

its all in hendo's head and how he approaches the game. hendo isnt a selfish chucker, so i am not concerned with him going all josh smith on us and just throwing crap at the rim from downtown all game. but 1.2 attempts per game from a shooting guard making 32% over the past 2 years just is not enough. and he will never improve his numbers or gain more confidence by not shooting them.

In Jerome McKinley Henderson Jr.'s quest to become the next Kobe Bryant, I think he missed out on the part that Kobe attempted about 4 three pointers per game for his career, because Henderson attempts a little under 1 per game for his career

hendo only incorporated one aspect of kobe's games into his own - the mid range/post game. hendo has regressed as a player who drives the ball to the rim and has done little to develop his weaknesses - 3pt shooting, passing and ball-handling.

38% of his shots are from 16-24 feet. thats insane for a current shooting guard.

I would love to see Hendo go on a tear leading up to the trade deadline. I think he's a bad fit for an offense that Clifford is pushing more ball movement, more playmaking and better 3 pt shooting.

It would be nice to "sell high" on Henderson. For those of you who want to keep MKG, they absolutely have to get Hendo off this roster and bring in a playmaker who will facilitate more ball movement and open up the floor with 3 pt shooting.

Henderson scored 27 and the offense still looked terrible. It goes to show you how little his individual production factors into the offense as a whole. He does not contribute to his teammates. He is a hit-or-miss dead end. We can win when he disappears and lose when he excels. Just a bad fit.

I've said it since the day that MKG was drafted, that he can't successfully co-exist with Henderson in the starting lineup. There's just not enough perimeter shooting to go around between the two of them. It's also a little disappointing to watch the stagnant progress of Henderson over the years. It's either he can't improve, or he isn't working hard enough. I would tend to favor the argument that he's just a limited player, and that's how I've always viewed him

I'm disappointed in Hendo's development. 3 seasons ago I envisioned him improving his handles, passing game and 3 point shooting. He has basically remained stagnant, unless he completely turns it on from here(i'm giving him till March) he will always be an average SG .

I thought for sure Hendo would step up his empty stats in Kemba's absence but nope. 3 games go by without Kemba and he's only averaging about 13 points while Jefferson carries the entire scoring load himself. I want Hendo traded because he's not a deciding factor on whether we win or not even when he does play well and his game inside the 3 point line is a detriment to MKG who is a game changer. Something has to change.

I think he feeds off of Kemba. Really wish he could create more for himself. If we can trade him along with a pick and/or Zeller for a legit upgrade, we need to do it.

I honestly believe that no one outside of Walker has trade value on this team. Jefferson does, but not many teams can or want to take on his contract no matter how well he has played. We tried to trade Henderson for a first rounder last year in a terrible draft and couldn't even do that.

I would trade him for a legit upgrade not only at SG but at PF as long as the incoming player doesn't have a horrible contract that'll hinder our future.

I think a wing is a much more pressing matter. What team do you know that can win without a wing that can shoot? Right now, we're no different from Detroit. We're a talented team that can't shoot threes.
