This is the last year i'll put my faith in MKG becoming anything more than a great defensive piece.

The return of MKG tomorrow night. His rebounding and defense paired with Dwight is going to fun to watch.

We had a top 5 defense already with a bunch of rookies in the rotation.

Wow, I know the kid had difficulties with media, but he still seems depressed

Yeah, he's obviously toughing it out. I wish him well, and I hope he finds some serenity out there on the court to experience a little relief from that pain.

Not with the team in San Antonio, won't play against the Spurs. Hope for the man he's getting better.

It's just basketball. Team can survive. But for MKG's sake, I hope he finds the peace he's looking for.
Who I woulda took:
2023: Miller | 2022: Duren | 2021: Bouknight, Jones | 2020: Ball | 2019: PJ | 2018: MPJ | 2017: Monk | 2016: Damian Jones | 2015: Winslow | 2014: Vonleh, Napier | 2013: McLemore | 2012: MKG | 2011: Knight, Kawhi

I don't think he's out due to personal reasons- didn't he leave the game the other night because he was sick? I missed the 1st half of the game

TV broadcast said it was due to an "illness."

Read on Twitter

This is where I got it from. Weird they would say this if it's illness.

That is the official deal: "personal reasons". I am truly sorry for the young man. But he is broken as an NBA player. I suspect after he finally got back to the team he couldn't keep it together and just bugged out. Suspect the staff just accepted that he couldn't contribute and letting him have his space.

Now I doubt any team will ever want to trade for him. We may be stuck with another large salary from a player not nearly earning it.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

It sounds like he's letting his emotions get the best for him. It's a unique situation for me as a fan to see because professional athletes aren't usually the ones to show that side of themselves.

I'm not even worried about his trade value right now, but there may be a time where the team must start docking his paychecks if that's possible? It's no offense to MKG and I don't think it's disrespectful, but there comes a time where someone who is physically able to play and doesn't, while still collecting paychecks, is not acceptable.

Wait, is he sick or out for more mysterious personal reasons? I feel like the team needs to share more context with the media on this no?

He has a illness  played about 2 quarters a couple games ago and hasn’t returned since.

OK Hornets you kept us in the dark long enough its time to shed some light to your fanbase what the hell is going on with MKG. I knew something was up when he took his jersey off the other night walking into the locker room. Thats usually some type of statement

Teams never tell their fans what's going on if their players are having personal issues. Seems unreasonable to expect otherwise.

Bonnell is the one that said his grandmother died, the team didn't.

Coach Cal confirmed as much at the game he attended. Still, it's a bit confusing as this most recent departure was initially dubbed as an illness.
