No Carolina bbq debates yet, but would recommend the board Aussies check it out if you want to see what some people around here sound and act like.

I'm a few episodes behind. I was trying to let the episodes build up so I could binge it. I've only watched the first two episodes. This weekend. Mild spoilers had been warning me about the questionable tarheel accents. Honestly they did a pretty good job with the accents. And we've all met a 1000 Duke and Carolina, Raleigh area eastern North Carolina, old money, insufferable types like this. No tv show has ever done a better job showing insufferable rich people than the three seasons of White Lotus. Just brilliant stuff.

it's been a really good month for watching series, since there hasn't been a ton of movies on streaming worth of **** lately. Finally broke down and watched the penguin last month. I don't care at all about Marvel or superhero stuff. Batman is the only one I can tolerate simply because it doesn't involve superpowers. And even then I really only like the Batman stuff that doesn't have Batman in it. Anyway, the penguin was amazing. Fantastic show

Then I binged the new Netflix show adolescents this weekend. Talk about a show that hooks you within the first 10 minutes. That first episode was absolutely incredible. I love how I did the whole show with each episode being real time one shot no edit style. Super impressive. And then of course the messaging behind the show was excellent.

and finally getting around watching Alice in Borderlands. It's an easy watch. Some of the translating of dialog is a bit dry.

New decent comedy on Hulu called Deli Boys. That one came out of nowhere and is funnier than I ever thought it would be.

And of course severance. Season two was phenomenal.

It was a good month for TV watching in the fat household. But like I said, movies were a bit of a stretch this month.
- flow What's probably the best movie I watched in March. That was excellent for what it was.
- Enjoyed heretic. Didn't love the ending but Hugh Grant was menacing
- Maybe the best movie I watched a month was a rewatch of the 1980 classic 9 to five while I was in Charleston in a hotel.
- watch the pretty cool indie film from 2019 called come as you are.
- Finally got around to watching a complete unknown. Good but not great. I have a ton of thoughts on this which would probably bore everyone to tears.
- And if you need a dumb horror comedy the parenting was actually pretty funny. Nothing amazing just low maintenance R rated horror comedy.

NFL Draft goes to commercial when the Panthers go on the clock. Has anyone been autistic enough to track this sort of ****?

lol I said the same thing. NBA may go to commercial break before we even pick Cooper Flagg.

Tet McMillan. A big WR, should start day 1.

Not defense like most expected, but he should be a help on offense. Expect to draft a lot of defenders with our other picks.

We couldn’t realistically go into the season with 35 year old thielen as our only proven receiver. Legette didn’t exactly show brilliance last season.

Panthers wide receivers drafted in the first three rounds of the nfl draft. Not exactly an impressive list.

Muhsin Muhammad (1996) - Round 2 (Pick 43) - Michigan State
Rae Carruth (1997) - Round 1 (Pick 27) - Colorado
Steve Smith Sr. (2001) - Round 3 (Pick 74) - Utah
Keary Colbert (2004) - Round 2 (Pick 62) - USC
Dwayne Jarrett (2007) - Round 2 (Pick 45) - USC
Brandon LaFell (2010) - Round 3 (Pick 78) - LSU
Armanti Edwards (2010) - Round 3 (Pick 89) - Appalachian State
Kelvin Benjamin (2014) - Round 1 (Pick 28) - Florida State
Devin Funchess (2015) - Round 2 (Pick 41) - Michigan (Listed as WR at draft time)
Curtis Samuel (2017) - Round 2 (Pick 40) - Ohio State (Listed as WR at draft time)
D.J. Moore (2018) - Round 1 (Pick 24) - Maryland
Terrace Marshall Jr. (2021) - Round 2 (Pick 59) - LSU
Jonathan Mingo (2023) - Round 2 (Pick 39) - Ole Miss
Xavier Legette (2024) - Round 1 (Pick 32) - South Carolina
Tet McMillan (2025) - Round 1 (Pick 8) - Arizona

Three quality starting receivers drafted out of 15 picks - Moose, Smith and DJ. Xavier and Tet - TBD. What's crazy is that Kelvin Benjamin, Brandon Lafell, and Devin Funchess rank 8, 9 and 10 on the all time Panthers receiving list. That's how bad the Panthers receivers have been in the history of the franchise. Others in the top 10 receiving that aren't on this list of drafted players are Greg Olsen, Wesley Walls, Christian McCaffery and Mark Carrier

I think Kelvin and a couple of the other guys were solid #2/#3 receivers. We've just not had stars.

McMillan is the highest drafted of them all though. Need him to be a 1k+ yard guy pretty soon.

I'm starting to feel bad for the kid. At this point it's more than football. They got much worse QBs getting drafted before him.

Feels like the owners sending a message to his dad.

He's a good prospect, but not a great one. Teams clearly do not want to deal with the media circus that'll follow him around. And yeah, his dad too. Too much drama for a non-elite prospect.

I think it was a message that the NIL and choosing where to go isn't going to fly in the NFL, keep that **** in College Football

Probably a big updraft just based on how much the community was split on him, Daniel Jeremiah had him like 50th on his big board. McShay was lower on TMac as well. He could put up a solid season just out of pure desperation for the Panthers though, I mean we have seen it the past few years with Theilen, who is probably not a top 50 talent at the position.

I think Golden will end up the better player.

How many of you have seen the new movie freaky tales yet? I really liked it. It's an 80s hoops junkie experience. Gastonia native sleepy Floyd like you never imagined.

He was all over the place. As high as the Jags at 5 from what I saw, others said he's a better pure WR than Travis Hunter is. So he was a fairly common pick for us overall.

The only picks I don't really understand is the last one. A small slot receiver.

They reached as a result by overdrafting Leggette and Mingo the last two years.

I give the PANTHERS an A in this draft.

My FAVORITE picks are

Jimmy Horn Jr - Hope he play KR and SLOT

and

Princely Umanmielen - future pro bowler

I also like a few of our UDFA a lot

Muhsin Muhammad III - he's a stud like his dad

Tuasivi Nomura -

and

Ethan Garbers - I really hope he makes the squad. I think he can be a starter somewhere.

My cousin plays for the Panthers so it makes it even more sweet for the upcoming season.
