I think the Hawks will win it all as well.

grand final experience alone will count for a lot.

I also wouldn't count out Sydney yet either, they could still beat Freo in Perth.
They enjoy the ugly slow game that Freo try to force

So its coming up to week 2.

Derp is probably right with his predictions with Freo playing Swans in a couple of weeks.

Swans are pretty banged up, so I can't see Freo not making the GF.

i swear, every time i try to look something up on the herald afl site i cant find it. i really dont like that site. i guess i should just stop using that site for my afl news and go straight to the league website instead, unless you guys have a better suggestion.

lurking is what these guys do best. normally around high schools though.

AFL.com is where I get most of my info.

gonna tell this story even if it reflects badly on me, because i can't stop laughing.

so we put some chicken that had gone bad prematurely in the trash can and forgot about it for a couple of days. get home tonight after a long day, open the garbage and boom, maggots everywhere. i go "holy ****" and the wife is all whatwhatwhat, i tell her there's maggots in the garbage and she loses it completely. i slam the lid and tell her i'm putting on my shoes and taking the garbage out and she's all WHY ARE YOU WAITING and literally grabs the entire trash can and runs it downstairs to the alleyway and dumps it in the bin. i can hear her through the open window "THEY'RE STICKING TO THE LID" panicking and she darts back upstairs and starts rifling through the apartment for some latex gloves. turns out we got rid of those months ago so she is almost in tears.

i don't have the heart to do the garbage myself at this point, despite the fact that i've camped a ton and done a lot of gross stuff so maggots don't really faze me, because i find the whole thing so damn entertaining. so i offer to tie two empty grocery bags around her arms, and she thinks that is a great idea all of a sudden. so i get those on her hands, tightly sealed at her request, and she is all "i can't move my fingers **** IT WHO CARES" and darts back downstairs and floods the alleyway with the hose trying to get every real, invisible and imaginary maggot down the drain, cursing up a storm the whole time. neighbors in our building are coming out asking if she's ok but she's too busy blasting the **** out of our garbage can with the hose to notice. she waaaaaay overdid it with the hose, total overkill, but i let it go because that was her neurosis at work.

afterwards i picked up the trash can to bring it back upstairs and she's all WHY ARE YOU TOUCHING THAT WITH YOUR BARE HANDS and i just shrugged and put it on the fire escape to dry overnight. poor girl. my burden was that i found the whole thing hilarious but couldn't laugh too loudly for fear of wife-wrath, which is no joke. anyways, to make a long story short, i forewent my husband duty of gross-thing-handling just so i could laugh at my wife panicking. and, i'm not entirely sure i regret it.

This SC-Vanderbilt game has been flat out despressing since the first quarter. I don't know how much more of this I can take.

This. The Gamecocks have been downright unwatchable for stretches as well and that loss last week had me ready to not even watch anymore. I'm ready to be demoralized by the Bobcats instead of the Panthers and Cocks.

Who cares about the Gamecocks. The NFL season is ruined for me. Another 6-10 Panthers season where we start 3-9 and "feel good season finish" to screw the draft position

I stopped giving a **** about the Panthers and the NFL altogether long ago. The Gamecocks are my team since I go to USC, but damn even those games have been underwhelming.

Its time for Rivera to go.

What are the bobcats prospects this season?
Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing, Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before;

To not finish with the 11-14 pick.

Spoiler:
We lose our pick to CHI if we're out of the top 10, we obviously make the playoffs if the pick is above 14. Just don't want to be in the dreaded "miss the playoffs, still don't have a pick" zone.

What does this mean? How does the pick work? I know nothing about all this stuff. If the bobcats do too well they lose their pick to Chicago? Why?
