Glad this is the FAKE trade thread...Ive said it before and I'll say it again, we are NOT trading Kemba. The only way they would even pick up the phone is for an MVP level player...Kemba is just too important to our team. The Hornets are less likely to trade Kemba than the Panthers are to trade Cam, and that aint happening either...

You dont trade All Star players...in their prime...on a steal of a contract...when your team is obviously trying to win now...for a POTENTIAL All Star player.

You could start that chart back in the early 2000's and it wouldn't be any different.

I love how planned strategic losing like Philly did, requires intervention, and lead to a GM replacement via nepotism, but having delusional morons creating a circus while running the franchise in the biggest market is completely fine.

I don't know about that. LMA just looked so damn awful in the playoffs.

Rather deal for Love if that's what we're sending out, but it wouldn't shock me after the Howard trade that we try and go all in. Not saying I think it'd work. Howard and Aldridge on the court at the same time would most likely be a catastrophe.

I don't think the Spurs want to take back salary, even though they'd probably love Marvin. They could probably get rid of his salary pretty easily if they wanted.

Hard pass. LMA isn't worth a lottery pick in a draft this good. Besides, he needs to commit to being a full time center.

Good grief. Keep 11 and save $18M. Fancier passing too.

The first one: 9
The second: 7

Not worth it in either situation, in my opinion. Trading up in this draft only works for a super star level player and you'd have to get top 5 for that tier.

Trade with Sacramento, picks 5 & 10 to us for pick 11, MKG, 2018 top 5 protection. Take either of Tatum, Jackson or Fox, with 10 take BPA.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Dennis Smith is in that tier in my opinion, I'd offer a future 1st for sure to get him.

MKG and a protected 1st for Chandler and Mudiay? (replace the 1st for a 2nd if it's too much, hell even throw in Bacon)

Mudiay's size and potential as a passer and defender could work well next to Monk off the bench and even at times with Kemba... and he's still really young, just turning 21. Chandler is a better fit in the short term with Dwight in the mix. For Denver, they get good value for the 30 year old Chandler while they rebuild. MKG also provides them with some much needed defense, considering Denver was the second worst team in defensive efficiency last season.

Starters: Kemba-Batum-Chandler-Marvin-Dwight
Bench: Mudiay-Monk-Lamb-Frank-Cody

Win now starting lineup. Super young bench. Average age of those five = 22.6

Wow, I was thinking of an acceptable MKG trade this morning and this is exactly what I came up with minus the included pick. I'd hate to see MKG go but I'd be happy with this return. I think it would benefit both teams.

That said I could see MKG breaking out in Denver and us looking like fools.

Cho slipped up at the presser today and introduced Dwayne Bacon as.... Dwyane Wade. I think they are discussing a deal!

Yes please. Any chance Denver does this?

I love MKG but we need to add a vet backup PG and we have the flexibility to eventually slide Batum to the 3, but Chandler could be a placeholder possibly if Bacon pans out (no pun intended) to be the future SF too.

What can we get from NY?
MKG, Lamb, Frank, 2018 and 2020 unprotected
for
KP, Lee, Thomas

It is to light for KP but I cannot figure out how to make it work. This would be a tremendous fit with what we have to make a real run next season.
