He has a place, but agree we’d be even more sick had the Hornets traded up for him. Castle? Man he was the prize in this group.

Lol Castle has been getting benched and his production is down on January. And he STILL CAN'T SHOOT!

He's not the saviour this board seems to think he is.

Id buy low on Sheppard, he just isn't getting opportunities. Same with Eason. If we get the 1st or 2nd pick I'd actually trade LaMelo to Houston for Eason, Sheppard, Whitmore, and picks. Time to improve this team's rotation and LaMelo can't stay healthy and hasn't matured anyway. Flagg, Miller, Williams, Eason, Whitmore, Sheppard, Salaun (big ?) is a solid young core

Eww!

Give me Green and Smith Jr. instead.

I like the idea of Green/Miller on the wings playing off Flagg in that point forward role. Green is one of the most explosive players in the league.

LaMelo will not have that value. He’s been injured every season now

Which makes any potential LaMelo trade a “sell low” situation where teams won’t want to give up big assets, so… why are we trading LaMelo exactly?

He's wasting a roster spot at this point. Trade him this off-season before teams realize he can't play basketball.

it's already way too late. any trade involving him he'll be treated like Anthony Bennett, a salary filler thrown into a larger trade, and then that team can pretend he was "traded for Kevin Love"

Really think Peterson is going to turn on his first pick after 1 year? I can't see him owning up to this major mistake so early.

Considering most of our fanbase still doesn’t think it’s a mistake, I doubt the GM will own up to it yet. Maybe he can browse some defensive EPM stats to cope

I don't care if JP counts cards like Rain Man, if his eyes don't work, then this could be very rough.

I don't think anyone is in here defending Tidjane as a guy they love, had #1 on their board etc... mostly it is this class sucks and if Tidjane was averaging 8 ppg he would be one of the better rookies in the class at 19 yrs old. Would everyone be in here hyping this man up if he was averaging 8 ppg?

Clingan last night played 11 mins, fouled out and was -10 plus mins in 11 mins. If Tidjane did that we would be rampant but because nobody actually watched Clingan look like a non-NBA player it doesn't matter.

Sadly, this applies to far more than the Salaun thread.

Lee absolutely screwed over the kid last night. Comes in gets hot, immediately gets subbed out for Daquan Jeffries (?) so we can run Jeffries-Nurkic pick and roll. Had some decent defense, of course we barely see him again.

I’ve obviously made my feelings known on him but if he is ever gonna be a player he’ll need to play. What is the point of even playing Jeffries? Why not let the kid soak up minutes until he messes up?

I felt bad for him. He played well for his standards.

I was also disappointed he didn't get more run after that little purple patch. Maybe Lee was trying to bottle that confidence for later? I'd rather him just let the kid continue to play as you suggested.

So now we're mad at Lee for not giving Tidjane enough of a chance? That's a new one.
