Probably an intern in the organization that's also a big fan.

Thanks for the post country. I can't believe how bad that all sounds. I wonder if he is looking for attention or if someone does feed him bad info so if anything happens less than that they look tough in their trades.

He literally just guessed like 10 situations, so most likely he will be right.

That was kind of what I was thinking. Throw enough against the wall and something has got to stick. Then hedge with we are not leaning that way so if nothing does it looks like the Bobcats were the ones to balk.

4)All in all, Charlotte would like some scenerio where they quickly fill needs in the frontcourt and a replacement at SG for Hendo. Keep in mind they love Hendo, they just think he will demend too much and would prove to be a situation that would slow down their plans in FA. From talking to "Billy" he feels they would like a situation where they can draft/trade for a Center, trade for D-Will, and make another move to replace Hendo at SG with either a high draft pick (say McLemore or Victor with their #4) or deal for anotehr option.

Sounds like Charlotte wants to move Hendo and therefore keep the #4 and therefore draft his replacement (Oladipo or McLemore). Interestingly this kind of under-the-radar stuff contradicts what has been said publicly. We've heard Charlotte wants to draft Noel, Len, Bennett or even Zeller (that's a laugh). They've kind of publicly ignored Oladipo and McLemore despite this reported secret intention to move Hendo in order to not "slow down" plans in FA.

The Bobcats seem to be using the threat to draft a big as leverage in trade negotiations for a big. "Give us what we want or we will simply fill our needs via draft". But if these rumors are to be believed they actually want to avoid signing Henderson, think he will be overpriced and therefore would need to draft a guard.

The T-Wolves want that guard at 4 and have a big man to trade (Williams or Pek). It seems they don't like Hendo enough to trade Williams or Pek. They also have Afflalo as an option in addition to Hendo.

Charlotte seems to want to give them Henderson plus DET or POR in order to keep 4 and draft Hendo's replacement.

Me personally, I would S&T Henderson plus the POR pick for Derrick Williams. Henderson + POR is worth more than Afflalo.

1) S&T Henderson + POR for Derrick Williams

2) Draft McLemore (or Oladipo if that suits your fancy)

This would allow Minnesota to add a starting SG, a lottery pick and keep Pek.

It gives Charlotte a big man without raising payroll and allows the team a cheap option to draft a guard at 4.

According to Sam Amico the Kings are quietly gauging interest on Cousins trade value, but it isn't high at all due to his "issues"

I'd rather have Pek over D. Williams obviously but it seems Minnesota obviously will move Williams who is worth more on another team because of Love.

The thing is they're trying to get pick 2 or 4 with Williams and 9.

I don't think Orlando will budge which is why we are involved if rumors are to be believed. I think Orlando wants to keep 2 and move Afflalo. They might even be offering Minny Afflalo for D. Williams.

Like I said, Hendo + POR is worth more than Afflalo.

Derek Williams/Biz is a pretty decent pairing in the front court.

Kemba
McLemore or Oladipo
MKG
D. Williams
Biz

That's a big change from last year.

League source: three veterans who are candidates to be in deals leading up to, or during NBA draft are the Bulls'

Luol Deng, Pacers' Danny Granger and Blazers' Lamarcus Aldridge. The Cavs apparently have interest in Deng and he certainly would be a terrific role model and leader-by-example for a young squad; the Cavs also have a gaping hole at that position and if they have interest in vying for a playoff spot next season, a rookie out of this draft isn't going to move them appreciably closer. That said, there is skepticism that the Cavs are actually serious about parting with the No. 1 pick because they keep asking for assets as if it were the first pick in next year's draft.

I do think Charlotte would move #4 and Hendo for Pek.

But Minny needs 4 for a guard and can't be left without a center and would still have D. Williams stuck behind Love.

Minny is crazy if they think D. Williams and 9 is enough to move up to 2 or 4.

I would keep trying for Pek as it seems Minnesota is desperate for Oladipo or McLemore.

I wouldn't do Henderson and 4 for Pekovic.

I would however do Henderson and Port or Detroit pick for him though.

I'd trade Hendo and #4 for Pek and #26. This draft sucks, I don't think highly of #4 or Hendo frankly.

My main concern would be are we overpaying Pek? It could be almost as detrimental to the rebuild as trading for Bosh. I am not comparing their games but in terms of making a big panic move.

Pek will undoubtedly be our #1 FA target, would we move some assets to get past his restriction?

I think he would be worth it.

Henderson+Haywood+Portland pick

for

Pekovic+#26

Could be another possibility.

I just accidently posted this in the prospects thread

I agree with you @MasterIchiro

@BD

I agree to some extent, I am actually pretty high on Hendo but nonetheless I would trade him for Pek.

I'm not sure about including the #4 unless Williams is involved.

I look at it as would you rather have Hendo for Pek money or Pek for Pek money?

Pek won't command the max and will probably fall into the Millsap bracket despite his restricted status, if he hits open market I think his price gets inflated which is why we would offer up assets early.

I saw this mentioned elsewhere:

I would like to see us go get Aldridge from Portland our 4 and hendo and 1 st round pick next year in exchange for Aldridge and their 1 st this year might would work. Draft zeller or McCollum at 10 and nice trade all around for both sides. Starting line of walker mccullum mkg Aldridge and biz not too shabby, especially with 2 1st round picks to add next year.

I have always had a man crush on LMA but that seems like a lot to give.

Charlotte's more than likely going to have go always overpay a free agent, unfortunately.

If we did sign Pekovic and kept our 4th pick we would be an exciting team to watch that's for sure.
