I just hope there is a this coming season and we get a chance to stink, I don't know how they'd do the lottery if the whole season is lost.

Probably just repeat last years selection.

If we dont have a 2011/2012 season, #9 should be a pretty good pick. But it wont get you a Barnes or McAdoo. The SF in that range will likely be Gilchrist orTerrence Jones. Nothing to sneeze at tho.

let slam and i worry about what gets locked and what doesnt. thanks.
i think this post is relevant for the simple fact that a website posted an article about this. its not like some poster from another board came here and created this controversy out of thin air.
if the internet is talking about this, as absurd as it seems, its relevant for discussion.

We don't want that to happen, as our roster is now we'd have to be one of the 4-5 worst teams in the league.

Re: Dj Augustin and Kemba Walker
if no season was played i think they would re-do the lottery. the teams get the same number of ping pong balls as 2011, but the order would certainly change, baring a miracle. thats my guess.
but like others said, doesnt to us any favors. i expect us to finish with a worse position than 9th next year.

Maybe it was an artifact from LB not trusting him, but it seemed like DJ thought his job was to dribble the ball across the half-court line, then pass to Jackson or Diaw who then actually ran the set offense for 90% of the game.
Really? Because he averaged 6.1 assists per game for the season with a high of 7.7 per game in Novemeber, 7.3 in January and 7.5 per game to close out the season in April. If 90% of the game Jackson and Diaw were running the sets, how did DJ average so many assists?
Further more, if you think that DJ can't run a set then I hope you don't hold out high hopes for Kemba! I LOVE Kemba's ability to score one on one and break defenders down while getting to the rack and that step back J of his is money - but I wonder how long it would take for Hendo and Maggette and T2 and Biz to totally loose interest in a game and start to get frustrated with him watching Kemba take on the opposing team by himself and not get them involved - because they need help getting their shots as they don't create very well for themselves.
That is the thing, Kemba can create for others, I'm not singling you out but I see a lot of doubt of Kemba across the board on our fan sites, I think if some of our fans were given a pot of Gold they'd immediately start worrying about how they were going to get it home!
I'm glad you're not singling out Slam because you've only been here for a minute & if you didn't know then i will kindly fill you in that Slam,Fats,Doc & the artist formerly know as Spectre are the HOF of our board.
I can only speak for myself but I will say that anything they post is worth considering & taking on board as they have proven over years that they know what they're talking about.

Some of you vanished, when we were losing and couldn't stand some of the players we have on our team a la DJ, Felton, Okafor...now that we have some player you like, OH LO AND BEHOLD here you are, talking the same ****, different day.
I HATED Diaw, couldn't stand him, but that didn't stop me from supporting the Bobcats.
We definitely need to quash the hate.

I have been here awhile too, my name used to be Jackson 5ive. Delano Little and company on WBTV last night were even calling Kemba "basically the same player as Augustin" and I see that a lot across the board. I guess I should have expected it when I was one of the only ones that hoped we drafted Kemba, I just wish everyone was as enthusiastic as the crowd at The Cable Box on draft night when we drafted him.

Re: Dj Augustin and Kemba Walker
I hope that with Rich Cho we get a new way of thinking. Becuse Bobcats really need to trade DJ. Reasons being:
1. Him and Kemba can't coexist at least in the long run
2. DJ in recent years had confidence problems when he faced competition
3. Less playing time will only hurt his value for other teams
4. This is the last season of DJ on rookie contract. Teams value players who are about to become RFAs and need to sing an extension less. There are some exceptions like Jeff Green trade, but don't count on another team making a mistake like Boston
I like DJ I really do, but I just don't see him as a starter on a championship contender. Kemba gets a benifit of the doubt here since he hasn't played a game yet. Our goal for next season should be developing or young players. Sharing minutes at PG won't be benificial to Kemba nor DJ.
I hope our FO isn't going into the season with lets see what we got first and deal with the issues later. There is some reasoning to that kind of thinking but value of our assets gets smaller and we could loose more with rookie PG in charge while letting him adjust to the big league.
And I hope Kemba proves me right since I've been his strong supporter since March and this debate of who is the PG of the future for Bobcats goeas away finally once and for all. To me it seems like we had this debate forever (since we singed Jason Hart, than Knight-Felton, Felton-DJ). I think Kemba is the real deal and I would like him to have the keys from the start.
