I just find it funny that a Craptors fan is calling anyone delusional.

Peezy wrote:Raps fan here. Bobcats fans seem pretty delusional with the #2 pick . From an outsiders opinon there isnt much difference betwwen the 2nd pick and the 8th pick in this draft. Any one of the players taken at these possitins could turn out to be a stud. I tihnk you will be hard pressed to find teams giving up "too much" for just the # 2 pick.
Seeing Cho's face after they didint win number 1 was pricless... all that loosing on purpous for number 2 lol.
charlette didint deserve it .
If i had the number 2 pick i think you guys should take Barnes. MKG is still to risky.
or take T rob.
It doesn't matter that you feel there isn't much difference between 2-8. What matters is the team picking #2 has FIRST pick at anyone not named Anthony Davis. There will be teams that prefer one or two players over others but won't be in position to draft those players because their pick isn't high enough. Also, every year some player emerges as a hot commodity leading up to the draft.
We just need one GM to covet a player at 2 and suddenly we got ourselves a nice deal. Otherwise, it's not the worst thing in the world to have the second pick. We're gonna suck next year too, so we'll be back trying to win the lotto next May. We just need to keep adding young pieces and getting rid of the crap like Tyrus Thomas.

I SO agree with this post.
Last year's draft was considered 'weak' but Faried was picked at 22 and Marshon Brooks at 25. I wouldn't exactly call the 24th pick in this year's draft crap especially with Cho now in charge. Chad Ford currently has Q. Miller at 24 and he has tons of potential. I think they might consider a deal for 4 and 24 only if Cho feels confident he can get his player at 4.

Yeah, if Cho can get his guy at 4 (Drummond please!
) then I don't think 24 is bad at all. He might be able to parlay that and our 31st into a mid 1st rd from a team wanting to sell out of the 1st round.Re: Trading the #2 pick - dicussion (merged)

Lol, 24th is **** in this draft... Like we are gonna give you our 1st rounder next year just to move up 2 slots? Completely crazy... You guys would still be getting the player you want (you need just about everything anyways), so you are definitely not getting anything else than 4+24 for 2, which is to me already quite a lot.
As somebody said, last year Farried and Brooks were picked around there!
As a cavs fan, I would think twice about giving up on 24. I want Beal as I believe he would be great next to Kyrie, but this 24th pick as LOTS of value... It could net us a starting wing/C easily (Quincy Miller, Moe Harkless, Jeff Taylor, Fab Melo, Evan Fournier,...)
I am sompewhat thorn about this one, because one of MKG/Beal will be there at 4, so we might not need to to trade up with you either!

Re: Trading the #2 pick - dicussion (merged)
Posted this idea on the T&T board.
We could draft Moultrie, Leonard, Harkless, Wroten, and Quincy Miller.
Next year's lineup:
Biyombo/Leonard/Diop
Mullens/Moultrie/Thomas
Harkless/Miller/Maggette/Brown
Henderson/Carroll/Williams
Augustin/Wroten
That is DEEP.

-Trade 2 for Portland's 6+11

-Trade 6 for Houston's 14+( either 16 or 2013 1st+2nd)
Charlotte's picks: 11,14,16,21,22

Why not just stop at six and eleven?
If that's on the table, you take it and run for the hills.
Portland would have to be in love with Drummond though.
Up until this point, everyone reading this, I'm sure, has agreed with me, but thi is is probably where I lose you.
If the Bobcats got 6 and 11, I draft Austin Rivers 6 and Jared Sullinger at 11.
Why? I think Rivers and Walker, although they both like to have the ball, could be very dynamic together.
I'd turn them completely loose shooting, driving, passing, running, leading.
Sullinger, I believe, will measure out at a touch over 6'9 in shoes with an over seven foot wingspan.
He's my center, meaning he's the halfcourt low post option and he will probably guard most centers (him and Biyombo, depending on matchup)
Will Portland do it? I don't think so, so it doesn't really matter.
From Portlands POV, 6 and 11 are too much in this draft (now if Augustine were included somehow ... ???).
The Bobcats will most likely standpat and draft the more can't miss guy in Micheal Kidd-Gilchrist ...
... but they should take Jeremy Lamb instead.
If they can't trade down, I'd draft Jeremy Lamb because his offensive and defensive potential is just ridiculous.
Even if Lamb is a bust, depending on who the coach is motivating him, he can still be a phenomonal role player.
Lamb is a more than sollid piece to add to your core.
I love Kidd Gilchrist, but I think he would be more comfortable with another two to three lead scorers ... and the Bobcats arguably barely have one.
Jeremy Lamb if you keep the pick or Rivers/Sullinger if they get 6/11.

We need both positions.
That trade wouldn't work straight up due to cap issues but:
Derrick Williams, #18, Ellington (just because) for #2 and Matt Carroll (expiring) would work.
I'd say Wesley Johnson instead of Ellington but I'm just not a fan of his at all. Ellington would give us some depth and wouldn't be expected to do much.
I just happen to really like Derrick Williams so I'd really consider that trade. If they wanted to get it done "no questions asked":
Williams, #18, Randolph for #2, Tyrus Thomas
