I think we all know the answer to this...

You're right. Hes been sleeping with the Van Gundys.

Let me get this straight.

Steve Clifford coached under both Van Gundy's as well as being Thibodeau's colleague.

Brendan Malone coached under Chuck Daly with the Bad Boy Pistons and taught his son who happens to be one of the most sought after assistant coaches in Mike Malone everything he needs to know.

Patrick Ewing is a Hall of Fame center that helped develop Dwight Howard into the best big man in the NBA in Orlando.

This has the makings to be one of the best coaching staffs in the NBA. This is a upgrade to the highest proportions from hiring Dunlap and the staff that he brought alone.

Gone are the days where our coach calls timeout during critical possessions to draw up a worst play than us just running up the floor and rushing a shot

Now seeing report that Mike Malone will likely hire his father, Brendan to assist him in Sacramento.

Brendan Malone following his son Mike Malone to Sacramento is all speculation as well as Brendan Malone following Steve Clifford here. Neither is confirmed from what I'm reading. There's a possible chance that Mike and Brendan Malone both wouldn't want to strain their relationship with each other by working together. I know I wouldn't want my dad working under me on my first big job unless I feel like I have to be his caretaker.

Welll, Gortat is pretty straightforward and brutally honest and seems to misunderstand (see the part about Bobcats being strong), maybe it is even safe to say he lacks social skills. So in his case I would say he means it.

As he is not only one the praising has to have some substance.

I know. I want to hear this guy talk.

I hope that's gonna be the only downgrade.

Stan Van Gundy told me Clifford was ready to be NBA coach before Stan hired him. Much more in tomorrow's Observer.

Tom Thibodeau texted Stan Van Gundy "This is a great day for all of us" regarding Bobcats hiring Steve Clifford.

Either this guy is the real deal or he has been sleeping with Thibodeau and the Van Gundys for the past 10 years.

So either way it is safe to say he sacrificies for the team.

Can anyone remember this much positive reaction to a Bobcats move? You have a ton of former players co-signing the hire and the Van Gundy's and Tom Thibodeau are all on board too.

You had to dig through the internet to find something positive about the Dunlap hire.

Clifford has the potential to be the long-term coach the team needs and the next great assistant.

Didn't George Karl speak highly of Dunlap?

He probably did, I just don't remember a flood of players, coaches and reporters coming out in support of it.

George Karl was just about the only one I remember who supported the Dunlap hire. No where close to the support we have seen for Clifford. The biggest thing it speaksntomisnthenfact Cliffford has been in the NBA, and is highly qualified, based on experience, for the job. That is something I don't think you could definitely say about Dunlap.

When is the news conference?
