Redd was known as a defensive specialist coming out of college - not a marksman.
I can't remember a day in my life when Michael Redd was considered good at defense and especially not in college. I remember watching the Scoonie Penn years. His jumper was inconsistent coming out of college so you're right that he wasn't necessarily a marksman and that's why he fell to the 2nd round. That's how I remember it.
