Can he shoot 40% in the NBA? And there are plenty of guys who can shoot the ball in the NBA. Generally to last you need to do something other than just shoot. I don’t disagree 6 foot 10 shooting 40% from three is a bad thing, but watch Bertans shoot and then this guy shoot. Bertans will pull up from 30 ft and hit them. He’s one of the best in the league in long distant threes. Kulboka will need to become more fluid. He just appears too robotic for me.

I honestly have no idea. I guess we'll see lol.

Going to be nice when he's the wing we've been waiting on in FA

Love getting a look finally at Kulboka. I imagine he will be tested early against Lewis and others, love all this young developmental talent!
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

If he’s good enough to demand minutes, it will be such a boon for the team.

He looked very good on the late season highlights video. Fluid as a catch and shoot big. Nice lob finish. Probably too light to power inside but could see minutes in our fast paced offense.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Thanks for sharing. As with all bigs, I watch the feet. In the video, Kulboka showed very good, consistent foot placement for his shot, which makes for a repeatable motion. There's very little movement in his feet as the shot goes up, creates consistent arc and rotation on his release. Elbows are in good position. We didn't see vid cuts of his defense or ball handling. I assume these are subpar, or at least deficient, for NBA play?

It's going to be interesting to see him live and in an NBA context.

Interesting part of that

"Here they see me as a stretch four"

So, I guess he's the backup or 3rd PF. Not a SF like most of us thought.

Interesting how the team sees him as a stretch 4.

We'll see. He started the second summer league game as a SF. Nothing's set in stone IMO.

I would be very concerned about Kulboka's penchant for ignoring the whole "boxing out" part of basketball if he were to land in the rotation as a stretch 4. he's extremely passive in that area right now.

His shot is money. I don't see how he couldn't contribute with actual NBA players on the floor and spacing. And he has been moving well on defense and intercepting passing lanes as well.

Sounds like Washington. If you cannot tell, I’m still highly disgusted by his lack of effort last season.

In the last summer league game, I thought he looked not very balanced defensively, not sure if it is a strength thing or generally lack of agility. I was impressed by his ability to thread the needle a couple of times on offense. Hope it works out and think the 2-way contract is a good thing for his development, although he didn't seem so stoked about the prospect of playing in the g-league. Maybe he will spend the maximum amount of days with the main team. The picture of him as a kid in the Hornets gear was great.

I am really excited about this guy. I may have him as number two on my power forward depth chart, assuming that PJ is more of a backup center at this point. I think he is a guy that will* benefit from playing with smart players. His off ball movement is fantastic. He might have the quickest release on the team and thrives in a catch-and-shoot environment. Lamelo needs all the shooters on the wings that he can get. Plus he can clearly pass. It all really comes down to who can he defend well enough to justify his playing time. For me he is a definite keeper on the active roster. We just don't have anyone else like him on the team currently

What can I say, I love good fundamental basketball. It's a shame that more talented young American basketball players aren't taught proper fundamentals and team basketball at an early age. I really love watching players who move well off the ball. In a way he reminds me a bit of Walter Herrmann... without the awesome one armed claw.
