One problem that we have (and one that basically every team has) is we dont have much diversity in terms of contracts. Nic makes 25, Biz makes 17, 4 guys make 12-14 then 1 guy makes 7 then the rest make 5 or less.

Our top 2 contracts have negative value, our mid range guys are either not that good or we wouldn't want to trade them, Lamb is valuable but expiring and the 5 and below crew mostly suck besides Miles.

Suns fan here curious of your opinion on a rumor that the Suns owner nixed a trade that would have landed SGA. It was supposedly 16 and the Bucks pick the suns own from the Bledsoe trade for 11. Do you think the Hornets would have preferred that to the deal they did with the Clips? I was kind of under the impression the Hornets were very interested in Miles Bridges and doing that trade would have meant not getting him.

Not a big fan as that Bucks pick will likely be a late 1st in 2020 with how the weak the East is. Difference between 16 and 11 is big.

Yeah this is why I'm doubting that trade was really almost done. I hate the Suns owner so I'm not defending him but I also despise their old GM and kind of feel like he's the source on this supposed deal in an attempt to say he would have landed a PG if they let him.

Favors has a team option for next year, so at the least its a salary cut, but Favors looks real good when Gobert is out.
Would be a good starting centre for us. O'Neale is a cheap solid wing, we could also swap him for Thabo for more D

I don't know what we're supposed to do with Zeller, Favors, Hernangomez, Frank, and Biyombo on the roster, with none of them playing together

Bacon maybe but i dont feel comfortable trading a player we like in Graham for a player the Knicks are down on in Ntilikina.

I like Ntilikina as a prospect. I would not trade for him though. MCW cured me of wanting a good defensive PG who can't shoot on this team.

Players on a 1 year contract have to agree to trades. Technically it's not a no trade clause, but functionally it works the same.

Not all one-year contracts though, just those where the player will have earned either Early or Full Bird rights after the season. The basic idea being that a player can accrue Bird Rights through multiple one-year deals with the same team, but if he's traded to a new team he'd only have one year or "Non-Bird" rights with the new team.

In this case, while Ariza is on a one-year deal, he doesn't have to approve of any trades because this is his first year in Phoenix, and thus, not set to earn Early Bird rights after the season.

Guys that I see us realistically having a chance at and/or realistically persuing in the trade market:

Best reward for what we likely have to give up is Favors and/or Russell. Favors is a big upgrade over Zeller who can hit the corner three and is stuffed behind Gobert (and playing some PF), in Utah.
