Watching him right now against UIC. He can completely dominate without touching the ball. Feathery soft fade-away jumper. Would solve Hornets interior D problems for sure. He finished with 17pts 9 rebs and 5 blocks.

I like how he plays “angry”.

Really powerful dominating force - but with SUCH agility.

So far Wiseman, Edwards, and Cole look like the clear top 3 players. Other than them the Arizona kids Green and Mannion have both looked pretty good. Stewart and Better than Zion's brother have looked decent as well.

But outside of those guys, the international/overseas group, and a few older guys like Nwora, Smith, and Jones most of the other players have been underwhelming.

I am translating this correctly that we have 5 second round picks this 2020 draft?

The chart is kinda weird because it combines outgoing and incoming. For instance, we don't have our own pick because we traded it for Willy. We DO have Cleveland's, though, as the Clippers used it in the SGA trade.

Then the Boston/Brooklyn/NYK incoming picks are all tied together. We'll get the less favorable of BKN/NYK pick (Mozgov), but then immediately send it to Boston in the Kemba trade. We COULD get a pick back from Boston, but only in the 54+ range.

Realistically we're getting 1 (Cleveland) maybe 2 (Boston).

I didn't think we'd end up getting Boston's 2nd, but I've changed my mind, I think it will end up conveying.

It absolutely blows that the Warriors are now tanking this season and will likely drop us 1 spot in the draft. They just lost Russell for 2 weeks and are basically fielding a roster of G league players outside of Green. Hopefully those ping pong balls bounce our way for once.

Memphis center James Wiseman will be suspended a total of 12 games before becoming eligible to play on Jan. 12, the NCAA announced Wednesday.

The freshman is also required to donate $11,500 to a charity of his choice, based on the amount that his mother received from current Memphis head coach Penny Hardaway in 2017.

If you were to list in order what position you think you have a better eye for, from best to least, what order would you rank the positions?

Looking at some notable players that I have liked and disliked.

Liked: Bacon, Myles Turner, Draymond Green, Pj Hairston, Hezonja, Booker, Denzel Valintine, Stauskas, LeVert, Vonleh, Monk, Portis.

Disliked: Frank, French Frank, Mitchell, Oubre, WCS, Winslow, James Young, Trae Young.

So.

On the "likes" I hit on Myles, Green, LeVert, Booker and Portis.

Unknown on Monk, Bacon.

Missed on PJ, Hezonja, Valintine, Stauskas.

On the disliked.

Hit: Frank, French Frank, Winslow, James Y.

Miss: Mitchell, WCS, Oubre and Trae.

So, overall im terrible on SG's and best on PF's,

This mock draft got us at #14 (with Tyrese Maxey as the pick) and GSW at #1. I want to strangle this writer.

I think I'm best at the center position. I find it easier to gauge whether a guy will be solid there based on their body control. When you see an awkward moving big guy coming out of the draft, it's usually a bad sign.

Worst position for me to study is the shooting guard position. Guys that can shoot in college are a dime a dozen. Figuring out whose shot will transition to the pros is pretty difficult to figure out.

Watching Duke against Cal and very impressed with Vernon Carey Jr. Excellent shot, athletic center with good size, NBA three point range! His defense is good but should demonstrate improvement with more experience.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Vernon Carey is putting on a damn clinic right now

Me too! I also think it's easier to see things like controlled aggression (eg: imposing their will) etc.

For me I'd say it's:

I'd always read the opposite - that he is not athletic at all, was more a below the rim type player and really needed to work on his conditioning?
