I'm convinced Cho was drafting for the Chinese League. Passed on Cliff's pick Devin Booker. That one stings as painful as MKG over Bradley Beal.

Damn I hope the Knicks sign Hayward and VanVleet and destroy their rebuild.

The knicks make me happy to be a hornets fan even in our darkest hours.

Looks like a every team is trying to win this year, except Detroit, Cleveland, OKC and Charlotte. So that's good for us with this extreme draft coming up

I think the Spurs are going to rev up the tank engine too, but yeah so far there isn't a lot of competition.

Also, I'd bet money that the Wolves will suck again. They don't have the leadership they need to make a leap. Those are your bottom 6 teams with the Knicks creeping around doing god knows what.

It's not a crazy decision. He's one injury away from getting minimum vets contracts. He locks up a 4 year deal for like 80-100 mil and that's nice to secure with his type of history

With the Bogdan Bagdanovic deal off Milwaukee has waived Ersan Ilyasova.

I'm all over going after Bogdan, but if the team just wants a vet big guy they could do worse than Ilysova.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

I think Giles or Wood is the play. If we sign Hayward I will rage

True, I guess I didn't realize NY was going after him so hard. I was expecting him to get like a 3/45 deal if he hit free agency.

I’ve always liked Taj Gibson. Really good blue collar, hard nosed dude. In fact I liked him coming out of USC more than I did Mayo.

If we didn’t have Cody I think he’d be a good mentor for Vernon and Nick.

He's taken it slow. But it was always going to be a long process with him no matter what.

We've got more than enough time and open opportunity to go slow with a guy like that though. Low risk, high reward.

Portis and PJ kinda overlap, plus as much as I Portis - he's insane  but Taj could be really good for us.

Lamelo is a guy with a punchable face and Portis is a guy who is known to punch faces. I'd say let's keep them separated.

There's already an entire thread dedicated to this.

Merged.

Cody is a good veteran to have, but I'd rather have a 5 that can pass and shoot in his role. The Thunder have Al Horford and a lot of extra picks, so....

One of my favorite dumb things about the start of free agency is when teams that haven't had capspace in awhile renounce the rights to players that haven't played in years. And, for the first time in awhile, we're one of those teams!

So when we announce our renounced contracts - in addition to expected players like Bacon and Willy - we'll also see Marcus Paige, Shelvin Mack, and Brian f'ing Roberts.

We're also one of only 4 teams that currently have cap space! Atlanta and New York had space recently, so no interesting names there, but Detroit may be the winner:

Kalin Lucas
Isaiah Whitehead
Jameer Nelson
Jose' Calderon
Zaza Pachulia
