Happy when random minor traffic violations don't end it needless felony drug charges over weed.
Then again... why? Was it for personal use I assume? Lol that's a lot of tubes.

From the article ..

Trooper Jesse Owens stated he “upon stop observed odor of marijuana” from the silver 2020 Honda Pilot that Harrell was driving, according to the citation. Harrell, Owens wrote in the report, “admitted to being in possession of marijuana and produced a small amount from his sweatpants.” During a subsequent search of the vehicle, which the report states Harrell claims was rented, “three pounds of marijuana in vacuum sealed bags” were found in a backpack in the back seat, according to the citation. He’s been charged with trafficking less than five pounds of marijuana.

Tough to argue no intent to distribute with those facts.

Our whole team must have rocks for brains. Couldn’t even bother to not light up in the rental while carrying 3lbs of weed.

Organization needs to hire someone to shadow LaMelo with the authority to beat his ass if he's about to do something really stupid.

We've got lots to go on and need a better thread name than "Welcome to Charlotte." Let's hear some suggestions.

Not that dudes have to flex when they have a lot of cash, but did anyone else double take when they saw he was driving a 2020 Honda Pilot?

Bring Marvin back as an assistant coach, consultant, something. Hell bring him back as a player and let him ride the bench like Haslem for Miami. Someone to talk some sense into these idiots.

We don't have a veteran leader. Gordon is too passive, Plumlee isn't good enough for the youth to listen to him. Not to play the race card, but them both being suburban/country white boys probably doesn't help things. The younger players probably can't relate to them and vise versa.

Then you have Rozier. But he is just 28, and I doubt he is that mature himself. He was a knucklehead in Boston.

i wonder if they would listen to Biz? he had Melo's ear in his first year. I'd happily have him as 3rd centre sitting on the end of the bench.

We had the guy last year in IT, he's done most things in the NBA very professional and very approachable. Melo could look up to him and blossom into a superstar

We clearly need to focus more on being smart, developing maturity, and dedication to professionalism within the organization. Kai seems like a good kid but many of the other guys are making poor decisions and collectively it's not a great look. Probably has something to do with the youth movement and Borrego's slackness / authority but it is reflected in the low effort Defense and poor concentration in many games. We need a true leader to emerge with some nastiness to drive the rest of them forward. Draft some older college players with character and hire some ex NBA personal development trainers to mentor the young fellas.

Mitch also has willingness to draft sign talent regardless of other factors off court. I'll give cho credit for being very strict about factoring character into his player models, at least Moreno than Mitch. Ideally we get best of both worlds.

Winning cures all though. Fans will look the other way if we are wining, but if this team underachieves will having off court issues, fans will turn on players.

I fear we are turning into the early 2000 clippers. Fun to watch, but too immature to be anything other than a decent team, despite talent.

Fair point... although Lance never did anything off the court while here. Still can't believe what Jeff did. That was very disappointing.
