Crash with:

69%
62%
34pts
9 boards
3 assists
2 steals
3 blocks
4 turn overs

That'll teach me to talk up Al Thornton!!

LOL at the fat lady!

NICE win!!! We took the lead fairly early and kept the spread at around 10 for the rest of the game. Crash & Swish came up huge, but in general it looked like our offense has gained miles in execution & ball movement. I'm also starting to see some good things from Mek. And for the most part we played very good D.

.500 ball. Life is good!

Impressed w/ the effort and execution. Great to see the team rally together and win. I had thoughts oh the Heat taking us, but the Cats came thru tough. Congrats on a great victory, guys!

Gerald Wallace = wins my fantasy matchup for me tonight... jeez.

Charlotte made Miami look BAD... Of course, Wade being stupid did that himself, but yeah, Charlotte played REALLY well. Nice game, guys.

I liked that the most too. They put some pressure on us in the 3rd and got it down to 7pts but we stayed strong, didn't panic and kept some distance between us and them.

Oh ya, and Crash going ape sh*t in the 3rd and 4th sure did help!!

Herrmann is going nuts in Detroit tonight. I think we traded away the best player in the Primoz/Wally for Mohammed trade.

A nice win for sure... even in the third I was thinking "well, even if we lose, there's some real positives here." Obviously Crash went crazy, but a lot of his shots were quite easy because he was getting the ball in very deep position. It really looked like we had some idea about what to do on offense, which is the first time I've seen that from this team and I'm quite excited about it. Still, a whole lot of turnovers.

Defensively... Wade didn't have a great night, the bench did nothing, but Beasley and Haslem scored at will.

Hammer didn't even sniff the court tonight.

Interesting.

Nor did Nazr. We went real small.

Good win and I hope that gives the guys some confidence. Good to see we can play small ball, now lets work on the more conventional approach.

Just got back from the game....great win....
Crash was the MAN without a doubt he gets the GOLD hammer.
Our defense looked a lot more intense... full court press.....MJ on the bench...packed house...Mek plaing like a big....Ray running the team.. JRich making big shots and playing tough Defense...

I could not have asked for much more tonight...

Also, what I would not have given to get the BEAST...he and Chalmers are going to do work for the HEAT for a long time....

G'Game guys, I really like your arena, though I've noticed that the arena is very very quiet, compared to Miami.

But, you all do have a great team going forward, and are going to need your big 2/3 to come up big each and every night, and for your D to do what they did to Miami tonight.

Looking forward to attending a few more Bobcats games over the next few months.

Thanks for all the information!

btw, MJ was there, and I thought I saw Oakley sitting on the sideline there with him as well. Is Oakley a managing partner with your team, as well?

I wish I had recorded this game. The Cats looked so poor in the preseason games I saw, plus game 1 of the season, that I had given up hope.

How is that different to any other team? Take the Heat last night. Wade stunk and tried to do it all himself/force the issue and you lost badly.

Every team has guys they need to come up big each and every night. That's why they get paid what they do!!

Well THAT was some win! Wish we could play against an undersized team every night.

Let me never speak any more about a Wallace trade for anyone other than a superstar. He got it cranked up last night, as did J-Rich. Okafor was strong. Kudos to Dudley and the 2 Browns. I like the work Big Brown did down low, took it to the hoop a couple times, banged for boards. Little Brown wasn't very productive offensively but he did play some nice D on Mr. Wade.

Interesting the way they ran the spread and the pick & roll. Pretty good execution and spacing, which allowed the penetration drives and passes that set up guys well. Perhaps this team is starting to get it.

The other thing that happened, and was confirmed by the Observer's article this morning, was that the team loosened up. Crash talked to coach and told him they were thinking too much (DUH!). He asked if he could just play within the system and apologize later! OK CRASH, APOLOGY ACCEPTED!!

This team can compete depending on matchups. The Heat is not a very good team now. Beasley is a player, as of course Wade is. I love Halsem (he'd be great here but no chance of getting him).

Chalmers outplayed Felton, and he's a rookie! He certainly outplayed DJ. Augs has moments when he gives you a WOW play, but too many others where he's clearly not ready.

GREAT WIN.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

I thought Chalmers was horrible. He couldn't cover anyone and didn't really doing anything on offense. He basically passed to wade or beasley and got out of the way. I was not impressed at all.

Chalmers hit a few nice jumpers, but I don't see where he ran the team very well at all. Did he even have an assist?

Ray finally played like most people on this board have been wishing he would. What did he take, like 4 shots? I'd say he outplayed Chalmers by quite a bit. Mostly everyone did a good job tonight for us and it's the first time I saw them run LB's style with success.

good morning all. i'm surprised to find the board is still here. i figured all the bobcats fans would have rioted last night and destroyed the board in the process, shortly before looting a luggage store.

tough times are apparent at the arena and the massive layoffs were plainly visible. fired: the escalator lady who makes sure only 5 people at a time can ride, the ticker checker lady who asks to see my ticket as i am walking thru the tunnel to my $5 nosebleed seats, the cowbell lady (who knew she was on the payroll), the fatcats and the scoreboard stat operator. all gone. but hey, at least parking lot prices have come down. if you cant find a $5 lot a block from the arena then you are trying.

but, there were still many familiar faces such as: the dude w/ the monkey, the block party gang, linsey AND natasha, the five empty seats to my left, fat people who get winded after walking up 15 stair as if they were climbing to the top of cape hatteras lighthouse, my wife yelling "toodles" at okafor when he almost got hung on the rim and of course sean may in a suit.

i'm sure everything else has probably been covererd already.
+ our defense looked fantastic, even with ammo on the floor.
+ wallace was a monster. now that LB has seen firsthand what he is capable of, hopefully that will kill some of the ridiculous trade rumors
+ ammo, wallace and okafor all had some really nice chemisty with the passing
+ dj played 100xs better on defense
+ the heats two best shooters are their pf and c. strange.
+ LB does offense and defense subs at the end of quarters. refreshing.
+ we scored 100, where are the free tacos?

- maybe okafor should work on his post moves during shoot-a-round rather than lying on his back for 20 minutes stretching his groin.
- ammo looked gunshy again. he had that look in his eye after he missed his first 5 shoots, that same look he had at the end of his rookie season when he would pass everytime he touched the ball. luckily his passing was spot on and resulted in 4 assists.
- djs first few seconds were a disaster - foul sending heat to line, turover at halfcourt, foul sending heat to line. not a good start.
- i think the rich bald guy and the stripper got married and had a six year old baby... no timeout lap dances for you old man.

good times all around.
