Agreed. I like Bender's potential and have no real desire for Justise Winslow Jr

Unlike Jackson I think there's a possibility we could get Bender without having to send out Kemba. Maybe a 3 team deal with the Jazz?

CHA out Marvin and Kaminsky
CHA in Burks and Bender

PHO out Bender
PHO in Kaminsky

UTA out Burks
UTA in Marvin

Kemba/Monk/Graham
Lamb/Burks/Bacon
Batum/MKG
Bridges/Bender
Zeller/Willy/Mozgov

do you think we could re route Burks for a PG somewhere? Burks would be so unbelievably redundant

We could probably flip him for Jeremy Lin since they're both expirings.

Currently, Frank is the better player, and they don't have the minutes anymore to develop Bender with Jackson, Bridges, and Ayton all needing playing time.

Frank is barely better and almost 5 years older and they are not a win now team. Now something around Kemba, Williams and Frank for Dudley, Jackson and Bender may interest them. There is no reason to trade for Frank unless they upgrade enough to have a team that can win now. Otherwise you just downgrade prospects and have a guy who has to get paid after next season. It is a lose lose for them.

You all do know that Bender was so bad last year that Suns fans were literally tossing him in as a throwaway in random trades?
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

But he is 20 and shot 36% from three. While he needs work he isn't Frank. In April he killed it in those 5 games but that is a very small sample size. I am taking him as a rebuild piece hoping he gets better and builds on the end of last season. Frank was not really all that good last season either and is 25 so if we are rebuilding Bender holds more value.

He had trouble earning minutes on a bad team that needed him. His defense is WAY worse than Franks. I get that the grass always looks greener somewhere else, but Bender is a guy that you couldn't pay me to put on the Hornets.

Frank can't guard a chair so that is a bold statement. You do realize he started 37 games and played in all 82 averaging the 5th most minutes behind Booker, Jackson, Warren and the PG of the day (Bledsoe or Payton). For my purposes of the trade we would be in a rebuild and Frank would have zero value so Bender is just a throw in added to Jackson as a young developmental piece which our staff is supposed to be good at. This isn't a grass is greener issue this is Frank is dead grass with a very low chance to grow and Bender is dead grass that has some potential to come back.

When LeBron leaves, it will be interesting to see how the Cavs sell off their roster. They have Hill expiring, Clarkson and Love. Other than that not much. They're going to build around one prospect, Collin Sexton. They spent a first on Clarkson and won't get that return now. They spent a #1 overall pick on Love. They might not even get a first for him. Any interest in Love, Clarkson or Hill expiring? It seems like they need an infusion of young talent. We have MKG, Frank and Lamb. All three would start on that team. Imagine that.

Bender is bad. I'm not saying Frank is great or anything. I'm just saying that Bender is way worse. There is a reason that the Suns are trying to trade for a stretch 4 and have been linked to guys like Love and whatnot. It's one of their weakest positions and they are trying to get better.

They are trying to win now and he isn't a win now piece. Thing is neither is Frank. Bender has a chance to improve and Frank seems to be what he is right now. If we go rebuild Bender still with multiple years on his rookie deal looks a lot better than Frank. Both have similar flaws and strengths and one is 5 years younger with more chance to improve.

But we're trying to win now. Frank is the more proven player.

If we can find a PF instead of a PG with the MLE

Marvin and Lamb for George Hill

Then

MKG for Courtney Lee

Kemba / Hill
Lee / Monk
Batum / Miles
Frank / MLE
Cody / Willy
