The Mookie Blaylock comparison was a fair one, no poor man's version about it, from the size, fiesty defense, to the field goal percentage woes. In all actuality, Kemba had a better rookie campaign than Blaylock. If Blaylock is the level that Kemba parallels, then a solid starter/borderline All-Star should be his expectations. Personally, I expect more from him, but I wouldn't be overtly disappointed if he is the next Mookie.

Juanny Wags was thicker, like a Randy Foye type. Kemba's a lot quicker.

What about Speedy Claxton?

he can't shoot like lawson at all. Kemba's lucky to make ten shots, let alone ten threes in one game.

Pretty sure he means a poor mans Ty Lawson.

Which Kemba isn't close too yet.

Lol, let alone Iverson, Thomas, and Paul as previously mentioned. Im still trying to get over those comparisons without getting light headed.

LOL! I see what you did there. My man stun has high regard for Kemba, unfortunately I dont share that opinion. I think Kemba at best will be a energy guy off the bench, maybe his ceiling is a Earl Boykins type player if he ever develops that jumper and learns to play like a true point guard.

Blaylock was really good but had to play for the Hawks most of his career. (Pearl Jam nearly named their band after him).

Claxton would have been pretty good but suffered early injuries.

Wagner sucked.

Jackson was a pretty good player and I'd be tickled pink if Kemba was as good a shooter.

I'm a big Bimbo Coles fan. I wish Kemba could be like him.

I heard CIAA legend Lester "Flat foot" Jenkins out of Wilacoochi Gerogia would be a good comparison for Kemba too

"Flat foot" was a genuinely underrated player though, just saying.

With all the pessimism that Kemba Walker receives from Bobcats fans on this board, I would've thought he played for another team. It's too early in his career to legitimately stereotype him, especially when he's delivering results statistically, field goal percentage aside. Anyway, great game today, 19 points on 8 for 13 shooting (62%), 10 assist to 2 turnovers, and 4 rebounds.

forget scoring. i want to see kemba play like he did last night, which was very tony parker like.

1) beat man off dribble
2) get into lane
A) get to rim for layup or foul
B) kick out to open shooters
C) dish to open big man for dunk

i want to see kemba stop settling for that mid range pull up that he can get by beating his man off the dribble but before he gets into the paint. he can get that shot any time he wants. he doesnt need to settle for it.
