Random but I think the Knicks should trade Stoudemire and Copeland for Howard. Then if we can't trade Thomas somehow, we can amnesty him and the Knicks can pick him up lol

Jazz fan here coming in peace asking for your thoughts, and apologizing for not recognizing that you have a single trade thread before.

Would you give up Portlands top 12 protected 1st round pick for Humphries (a double double PF when given 30 minutes- which I understand your team needs badly)?

Bobcats have 4 young lottery picks starting, and will most likely get another top 3 pick in June. I would imagine that a double double PF would be needed more than another 1st round pick- am I wrong?

What if you could dump Diop and/or Warrick? Would the addition of a 2nd round pick make the deal work?

I know that at least one or two of you think that you could trade Gordon for Humphries, but I doubt that the Nets front office (as willing as they are to spend) woudl take on $26M for a backup SG when they are spending max money on Johnson.

- By the way, don't worry if the Nets would do the deal, I am interested to see if Bobcats fans would welcome the trade or think that their front office would do it.

Really? Because I think Humphries makes more money for a longer period of time than Ben. And knowing what I know about Mr. Kardashian, is that when he gets in a tough situation, he doesn't really behave very well. Not sure if Charlotte would be the best place for him.

Kris Humphries would be a start to adding some solid frontcourt depth on this roster for the next few years even if he's not worth his contract. Ben Gordon would flourish in Brooklyn alongside some other quality veteran players and be a big help to them in the playoffs on the offensive end.

I'd want a pick back, even if it wasn't a very good one. The production between the two guys is comparable in terms of how useful they'd be to the teams, but we're gaining extra salary long term if we take it, aren't we? It'd be like our Maggette/Gordon swap.

No thanks. Hump would help our interior but taking on his additional salary while giving up a pick would not be worthwhile.

Gordon makes slightly more (400k this year and 1.2 million next year) on the same amount of years.

I'd be for a straight swap of Gordon and Hump. We need rebounding and able bodied bigs. Nets could use a perimeter threat.

Yep, that's what I am hoping for...some deal to get both Humphries and Brooks. Cho & company made a play for Kris in the offseason but he went looking for glory and the bright lights. I think he'd welcome a move to a more wholesome place, being the starter on a team seeking to add other pieces and climb out of the cellar. Brooks has some skills and he would be (at worst) a quality reserve down the road. I'm sure they will be posturing for a pick, but I'd offer them Hendo and Gordon for Hump and Brooks...no pick (unless it's a 2013 2nd rounder).

Slow down there... We're not dumping Hendo for this. It's Hump for Gordon. They have pretty even trade value IMO. I would be pretty happy with a Hump for Gordon swap, but it could improve in our favor. I definitely get the feeling Brooks will be involved, which would be great as long as Hendo isn't involved.

And would the addition of Humphries free up the POR pick that would have been used to draft Plumlee or another big in the middle of the first round?

Ichiro....how so?? Hendo is still here and he's the guy I like and its pretty clear that I dont like much on this team lol... but anywho, everyone else keeps tossing him in trades and assuming he wont be here, but I think MJ likes him and I think he's part of what they consider the core. Plus we still have Taylor who plays at SG some too. Doesnt mean we wont draft any of those guys but waaay to early to lock in on one of them plus we dont even know our draft spot yet and basically every year height rises to the top of the draft.....before the process is over Noel will probably be atop everyones draft board.

Not really. We have a void everywhere except PG and SF.
