He would have been a great glue man with athleticism to compliment that team

You guys should checkout the videos the Bobcats put up everyday after each practice. Price was on the latest one working with MKG on his hitch.

It's still there. It's going to take a lot of repetitions and muscle memory to get rid of that hitch. You can see Price modeling a fluid motion on the shot but MKG still has it when he shoots. It's going to be a process.

It's only been a week... it won't be a drastic change but you can definitely see an improvement. He has a better follow thru with the hand and there's less of that shooting on the way down.

At the moment Mark Price is acting as the most valuable asset for the team, working on MKG and Kemba major flaws. Kemba would be dominant on offense if he can prefect that flower. All that acrobatic layups might he him hurt in the long run.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist | SF| Charlotte Bobcats

Kidd-Gilchrist
Kidd-Gilchrist barely played in last summer's Vegas league, and the team pressed full-court. So we learned nothing about him. The regular season, however, revealed he still has miles to go to be a decent offensive player. It's likely that Charlotte will cater its offense this week toward getting MKG a lot of touches in spots on the floor where he can be successful. It also will give him the green light to make plays. He's still only 19, but if he can't score and shoot better, the tension around him will build --and talk of another busted No. 2 pick will grow. However, a big week in Vegas will give both him and his franchise huge cause for optimism.

Its ESPN Insider. There were only 8 players mentioned. Was basically players that David Thorpe said needed a strong showing. I'd put the entire article, buy I think its against the rules.

Edit: Sent you PM

Can't summarize too much while at work, but players mentioned were Kendall Marshall, Cory Joseph, Meyers Leonard, I man Shumpert, Evan Fournier, Jordan Hamilton.

Along with Biyombo and MKG.

Among other developments: a new routine at the free throw line. Last year, Kidd-Gilchrist, a decent, but flawed free throw shooter, shot the ball on his very tips of his toes, almost causing him to leave the ground with both feet. Here in Las Vegas, that extra bit of elevation has morphed into a full-blown hop on his free throw. It’s highly unusual, but it’s staying.

“I think it’s something new,” Kidd-Gilchrist said. “I’ll just keep on doing it. I’m just comfortable with it, and that’s why I go from there.”

i hate how that article makes it seem like the cats are the only summer league team playing with a lot of rotation guys. portland has mccollum, trob, leonard, crabbe, barton, freeland and claver. thats 4 1st round picks from 2012 and a 2nd round pick from 2012 as well as their 1st round pick and 2nd round pick from 2013. 7 rotation guys for them. would be 8 if lillard was playing. why isnt lillard playing? oh, and that stacked team is 0-2.

wizards with porter, singleton, vesely and rice jr... should have beal out there as well. where is beal? still hurt? is that guy ever healthy?

magic had oladipo, harkless, nicholson, jones, lamb and oquinn - 6 rotation guys

etc.....

I don't really care about MKG's production in SL, he's doing exactly what I wanted him to do - take long jumpers

MKG will be free during the regular season playing with Kemba, Zeller, and Big Al

MKG is looking confident shooting jumpers...and making them. Sweet!

MKG is a competitor. I think he'll finish summer league out unless advised by superiors not to

Granted it was injury-related, but MKG only played two games last summer. It'd be nice to do well in the tournament but I'm sure the team doesn't view it as very important, so I wouldn't be surprised to see him sit out the rest.

Kidd-Gilchrist Added to 2013 USA Basketball Men’s National Team Mini-Camp

USA Basketball Chairman Jerry Colangelo today announced Bobcats forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist has been added to the roster of players attending the 2013 USA Basketball Men’s National Team mini-camp July 22-25 in Las Vegas. Kidd-Gilchrist will join 28 other participants, including Bobcats guard Kemba Walker.

“We are very excited that Michael will join Kemba in representing the Bobcats at the National Team mini-camp,” said Bobcats President of Basketball Operations Rod Higgins. “This will be a great experience for both of them as they continue to develop as players, and they are very deserving of this recognition.”

Kidd-Gilchrist is no stranger to USA Basketball, having previously been a member of the gold medal-winning U.S. National Team at the FIBA Under-17 World Championships in 2010 and the U.S. team in the 2011 Nike Hoop Summit.
