If we pulled Robinson in I might lean to McLemore with the 4 if he was available.

I don't know, I just like the idea of Oladipo being a secondary ballhandler for Kemba on the floor. I don't want to see another season of Kemba feeling like he has to bear the burden of being the only player on the floor that can create his own shot. That lead to a plethora of shot clock violations, NBA leading to exact

Let MKG be the second ball handler. He did a fair job with it at times this past year. If we add Robinson we clutter the lane more than we do now and even a guy who is mostly just a shooter on offense would be a huge help. I still have Oladipo as my better player and with our current PFs the better pick but if we go with a post offense PF I think we need the shooter more that the other player.

If Charlotte trades for Robinson, I don't believe that he has to be the starting PF. I view him moreso as quality depth being that I don't expect him to ever become worthy of his 5th overall pick billing. As far as MKG being a secondary ballhandler, I believe he can become one, but after watching his timidness in doing so last season I wouldn't hold my breath on that happening this upcoming season. Maybe 2-3 years from now

Joe Kotoch: The Charlotte Bobcats have been shopping Michael Kidd-Gilchrist. Potential that he is moved on draft night. #NBADraft Twitter @Probballdraft

Probably an intern in the organization that's also a big fan.

You guys have made me too scared to post the info over here!

Seriously though, if you hear anything on your end, let us know

Anyway, I will say that you have to take any info with a grain of salt at this time of year, but this info was not meant to be public (like Flip trying to send smokescreens) and the local poster has provided inside info before. I don't know how much truth is in it, but it's interesting -- I hadn't heard the Pek stuff anywhere else.

Regarding Pek S&T + #26 for Henderson S&T + #4, remember that sign-and-trades can't occur until July.

Even if both teams wanted to do it (I'm skeptical), that would mean CHA would have to have a handshake deal in place that they'd pick for MIN at the draft, and hold onto that player for a 10-14 days until S&T's are legal. It's always problematic to trade a pick after draft night, because fans start to fall in love with the idea of the player they picked, and visualize him becoming a star in their favorite team's uniform.

Long story short, if you're trying to bridge a gap in the difference between a Pek and Hendo S&T, it'd probably be more realistic for you to look at the DET or POR 1sts.

Jason Thompson
Isaiah Thomas
7th pick
36th pick

Bobcats Trade:
Ramon Sessions
4th pick

What do you guys think?

No, because it's somewhat of a lopsided deal. The best players in the transaction would either be Charlotte's 4th overall pick or Ramon Sessions. The Bobcats are starving for top-end talent, not depth

you sure about that mr? thompson is better than any big we have. also could draft zeller at 7 who would fit our squad. thomas is pretty solid backup.

I like that trade package but I agree with Mrknowitall in that we need talent more than depth. Those guys aren't worth what we might get at 4 plus our starting PG is small and having a back up that's even smaller is kind of redundant. I'm pretty convinced that whomever will be available in the King's range will be hard pressed to become more than a role player, barring some epic slide.

I'd do that deal. Pretty solid proposal in my opinion. Kudos for not proposing anything ridiculous.

Take out Sessions and Thomas, and it's a lot closer. I'd probably do that.

I'm absolutely extremely positively sure about that 'fatlever'. Ramon Sessions sports a career PER of 16.9 against Jason Thompson's 14.5, and it's a whole lot easier for a big man to play efficiently in the NBA than it is for a backup PG. As far as Thompson being better than any big that the Charlotte Bobcats have, I agree, and that's not saying much at all because word around the league is that Biyombo, Mullens, & etc. may have been the worst frontcourt in NBA history. That's exactly why I think Charlotte needs to draft the best big available with the 4th overall pick come Thursday night, unless Noel & Bennett both happen to already be off the board and it boils down to Oladipo vs Len. In that case, take the shooting guard

With our recent report of us liking Zeller, here's a variation of #4 for #9 and Williams with us getting #11 instead of Williams.
Biz Gilwalker wrote:Charlotte out: #4

Charlotte has shown plenty of interest in Cody Zeller, so they trade the #4 pick for two later lottery picks, plugging holes with Zeller at 9 and Shabazz at 11.

Minnesota out: #9, Derrick Williams
Minnesota in: #4
This has been beaten to death, but it's still a good deal for Minnesota. 2nd rounders could be thrown in either way, but the value is more or less there.

Philadelphia out: #11
Philadelphia in: Derrick Williams
Philly takes a flyer on the former #2 pick and attempt to rebuild with a core of Holiday, Turner, and Williams.

Who says no?

I'd probably rather have Williams than 11

I'd rather keep 4 and not draft an overrated white big.

The Bulls have offered pick 20 for Robinson and Cavs offered pick 19 for Robinson.

The top 12 protected pick from POR is obviously worth more. Houston has not pulled the trigger yet. I wonder if Charlotte will pounce or if we prefer a Hendo S&T plus POR for Derek Williams instead.

Derek Williams? Who's that?

We should pounce on that Thomas Robinson news. A future pick is worth a lot more to them, because it doesn't count against their cap (the whole reason they are moving Robinson anyway). Not to mention the Portland pick will likely be a little higher than 19 and possibly in a better draft.

Would the Pelicans do Eric Gordon + pick 6 for pick 4 and Ben Gordon?
