and if he protects the rim as well as he did this past season, he would get some All-NBA defense votes

oh god I hope not. Then he'll get an Asik contract from someone

We can pay him that Asik contract when Al leaves

Rather extend him now for 5/25 right now

Biz needs to be here long term imo.

Anything from 4-6 for 5 is good value considering the expected cap rise coming.

6 looks like an overpay, but the average salary will be 8m in 2 years time.

Well, at least the weight room has been kind to him. I think his arms may even be longer than they were when we drafted him. Damn inspector gadget.

I don't hate the man that he is, but when the 7th pick in the 2011 draft is going on his 4th year and still fumbles a simple bounce pass it begins to become problematic.

You can argue that Biz catches better than MKG and Zeller shoot from perimeter. I don't know why you are so fixated on one facet of the game, you can do that with all of our players:

Biz cant't catch.
MKG can't shoot.
Zeller can't shoot.
Kemba's too small.
Henderson can't shoot 3's/dribble/pass.
Big Al can't play defense.
Lance can't act sane.
etc.

biz cant really catch, dribble, pass or shoot at a level needed for an NBA player. that's very different than cody not being able to not down 20 footers at a consistent rate.

Actually for his position when he catches it he finishes at a decent rate and C don't normally dribble so that doesn't matter. Also not many centers pass that often and Biz does it well when he does pass after rebounds.

Cody can't shoot, stand up, finish, rebound (for his position), defend in the post, defend on the perimeter. If we are going to pick apart our players there are guys drafted higher than Biz that are the same age and have more experience who are just as far behind.

That's just a massive over-exaggeration. He's not perfect at these things, but you can't say that he flat out can't do them.

From the things you mentioned, defense is definitely something that has been over-looked with Cody. He had a quite nice understanding for a rookie on where to be on defense per my observations.

Biz doesn't need to shoot or dribble or pass for what his role is (defender/rebounder) but he does need to catch.

I don't really care. It will come with time. He's younger than several rookies that just got drafted and last year was the first time he had a coach worth two ****

Well Biz can catch he just isn't perfect at it. If that meant he can't catch then it means EVERYTHING I stated is true. I saw Biz drop some passes and saw him catch some passes so he can do it but people keep saying he can't. I am just applying that logic to Cody to prove the point.

I understand defense as I am sure you do but that does not mean we could defend. I never said he was not bright enough to understand defense just that he was a poor defender. He is terrible in the post because he is so incredibly weak for his position and he is poor on the perimeter because he does not move well and falls for every fake ever thrown. These are things that can improve but right now if we say Biz can't catch we can say all that about Cody and be just as correct.
