CDR and Tolliver still unsigned. Hard to tell with Jeffery missing so many games last year.

Adrien off the market, another one I wouldn't mind.

Had the Magic's dipstick GM agreed to Henderson for Afflalo, we might still be talking about Lance and Marvin Williams would not be on the roster.

I know, but he does expire next summer. Do you really expect him to come back with like 3 SGs and a pair of SFs deservedly ahead of him in the rotation?

Im honestly not sure. Only thing I do know is that the coaching staff has talked about him extensively all throughout the off season about his work ethic and being in the gym non stop, and Clifford talking about how we need his defense. Im only basing my assumptions off of what they say.

I understand that, but he was saying those same things last season, but it didn't translate. Cliff was still playing Taylor for defense even when he was playing poorly. Some guys coaches just get hung up on guys for whatever reason.

I'd cut JT to sign AT. Tolliver was a damn good 3pt shooter for us last year despite his 2 month slump after the all star break.

Done deal IMO. Dudley would be great here, and could solely backup at SF

Id much rather have JT than Tolliver for merely defensive purposes. But at this point if we sign Stephenson I could care less.

Yup, we can trade Scotty Hopson instead (I thought at first it is a made up name serving as a placeholder for a mysterious piece that we would be getting from Cavs instead of Haywood).

Oh nevermind I went to check spelling and he has been already traded to the "other Hornets" for real.

And he's since been traded to the Rockets.

Cavs, Hornets, Pelicans, and Rockets in what? 4 days?

We get Lance and we should win 50 games and we might be going to the ECF. I'd think we have a shot at beating the Cavs unless they get K-Love.

Absolutely. I'd rather have had Tolliver than Williams on that contract too.

Lance and MKG could definitely bother Lebron/Wiggins. Kyrie would probably school Kemba, but Kemba would score very well against him too. Our bigs would rape that Cavaliers front line. If Kyrie can't figure out how to be at peak form without the ball in his hands, they would be significantly weaker than most people think.

Come on now. Taylor is a pretty good defensive player.

I got killed on here a few days ago for saying we wouldn't make the playoffs as our roster is currently constructed.

Also, there’s the competitive pressure in the Eastern Conference. The Cleveland Cavaliers improved dramatically with the addition of James, so that’s a non-playoff team in the East that now looks like a postseason lock. While the Heat lost James, it weakened the Hornets with the signing of McRoberts.

It’s possible the Hornets will struggle just to hold ground for the seventh seed they earned last season without additional improvement to the roster.

Been out getting soaked at a concert, and this is just wonderful news to come back to.

This move can really help this team and franchise continue to grow and move forward. He's a player with star potential that our franchise needs. He's a secondary ball handler, he can shoot from the wing, a wing playmaker, an elite rebounder for a guard, and he would allow us to switch almost everything on defense in certain spots. He's a head case of course, but a little bit of that being kept in check can be a good thing.

Offer him 2 for $22 or maybe even 4 for $40. Whatever is left bid on Boozer. If you get Boozer and Lance we are set.

Ship out one of the many SGs we have if we get Lance and get a PF if not Boozer or get help in other areas.

Liver_Pooty wrote:I bet Larry Bird and co are definitely rethinking that Hibbert contract right now. What a disaster. Lose Stephenson and they may go from the 1 seed to the 8 seed next season.

I disagree, he was a matched RFA, it was that or lose him for nothing. Also, he was clearly worth his deal 2 seasons ago. We might wanna hold up before we write his post mortem.
