Most of the posters were informed and reasonable -- and the moderators demonstrated a lot of class, restraint, tolerance, and good judgment in indulging the Lin fans. As Baxter tells the bear in Anchorman, "I will tell tales of your compassion."
In my short time following the Hornets, the things that stood out were Kemba's leadership and humility, Eric Collins's "how do you do's!", Stephanie Ready's pretty decent analysis, the Honey bees, and the overall camaraderie of the team. And of course, visiting Charlotte for the Raptors game in December (which incidentally was Lin's first start of the year as well as his highest scoring game of the year) and getting a picture with Dell Curry. I will not miss Rick Bonnell's insights or Spencer Hawes's no-look hook shots. I will surprisingly miss Al Jefferson's feathery jumpers. I'm disappointed I didn't get to see MKG play a full season, I'm pretty sure the team would've won 50+ games and got to the 2nd round of the playoffs.
Now that Byron Scott is gone and Luke Walton is aboard, I can go back to rooting for my hometown Lakers but I'll continue to support the Hornets. And Lin wherever he ends up. I am thoroughly impressed by Charlotte and its fans. Good luck all!
exactly what i was saying only said better
