With all the rumors of you trading the #2 pick? How about one of these two

Monta Ellis/Moute/(future 1st) for #2/Thomas??

or a 3 way deal

Bobcats get: Gay and Bucks 2013 1st
Bucks get: #2 and Thomas
Grizzles get: Ellis and Luc

we would need to get 12 back atleast, take luc out
#2 Thomas for Ellis & #12

if you don't want to lose the #12 swing a 3 way trade that lands us another top 10 pick while still getting Ellis

Don't want Ellis, we may as well reach and draft Waiters if that were the plan.

Um, I would absolutely do either of those trades. Get a scorer in Gay or Ellis plus rid ourselves of TT plus get the future first. If there's no protection on the 2013 first then I'm in on either deal.

and LMAO @ 21 being old. I'm 21 and I take that as an insult

Every Player in this draft could be a "Role Player" according to somebody somewhere.

Anthony Davis- Shot Blocker
MKG- Does a bit of everything
Beal- 3 point Specialist
Barnes- 3 point Specialist
Drummond- Shot Blocker
Robinson- Rebounder

@ Stun

So let me get this straight, you think Barnes and T-Rob have the highest potential to be superstars in the league. The two oldest out of the top 6 while the others being all freshmen. These freshman have shown more glimpses of being great in one season then Barnes and Robinson have in all their seasons combined.

Your argument is that everybody other then Barnes and Robinson are going to bust or be a role player. When in all honesty these two guys will probably be the role players out of all these guys. A role player is a guy who is really good at one thing, but does not bring anything else to the table.

Robinson is the best rebounder out of the 6 no doubt, but he is nothing special in terms of defense, midrange shooting, or a post game. His post game reminds me of Sullinger as they both just try to bully their way to basket with Right Hand.

Barnes is a great catch and shoot player. He excels on floating around the perimeter either when the ball is entered into the post or kicked out on a dribble drive. Other then this is he extremely underwhelming as a playmaker, ball handler, average rebounder at best, average defender, and does not really have a post game.

Both are athletic in terms of measurements, but do not blow you out of the water athletically in the game.

In Contrast,

MKG is a guy who will help out in every single catergory. He is a really good perimeter defender and can guard 1-4 effectively. He is an elite offensive rebounder and a good rebounder for size and position. He is an okay play maker and does not have sticky hands, makes the most of his touches and can put up big numbers with out taking big amount of shots. Obviously the biggest thing with him is going to be becoming more consistent outside shooter, but with his work ethic to be the best I think he will improve every single year at this. So to summarize he is going to be a stat sheet stuffer, but not going to lead the league in any catergory.

Beal is seen by most as the best shooter in this class. He can shoot off the catch or put the ball on the floor and pull up from deep. This is not all he excels at though, He is a very good rebounder for his size and position. He is also an above average defender who can guard 1-3 at college level, but I would not expect him to be a LeBron or Melo stopper anytime soon. He can play a bit of combo guard as well and although he is not an elite playmaker he makes good decisions and is improving in this catergory. He is also the most inteligent prospect in my opinion based off the interviews I have seen. Could be a league leader in rebounding for a guard, three point percentage, and flexibility playing and guarding the point and 2 guard.

Drummond is the biggest X-factor of all he could be a legitimate all star level big someday, but he also could fail to crack a teams rotation. I think of a guy like Hassan Whitesides, who I know is not the same guy as Drummond, but everybody saw his potential and he was rumored to be a top 10 or so pick for awhile before eventually falling on draft day. He is still young so nobody is counting him out, but he is still riding the bench while developing for a bad team. Only difference with Drummond is if we draft him he will be developing while playing real minutes and most likely being lost, ineffective and criticized by the media for being a bust much quicker then Whitesides will be.

Anyways Drummond could be a force to be reckoned with someday, but most likely he will be a solid rotation big who can rebound, block shots, and finish with authority. His best bet is to get paired up with a pick and roll point guard who can get him the ball moving towards the rim.

My tiers right now:

Tier 1 - Unibrow (speaks for itself)

Tier 2 - MKG, Drummond, TRob, Beal
I don't see any of them as franchise changing players (except for Drummond, but the possibility is low), but all can be pretty good NBA starters. For example, if MKG turns into Crash, then that's great... if Crash isn't our best player. I think we have to come to the realization that at #2 in this particular draft, we won't find our Durant. We may find a Harden or a Perk or an Ibaka, but Durant will have to come some other way. Crash can be the second or third best player on a championship team. We have to have that too if we want to build that kind of squad.

Tier 3 - Barnes
He's below the other 5 guys, but clearly above everyone else. BTW, I think he has more upside than people think, but I think the most likely outcome is below the others.

Tier 4 - Everyone else

If trading down, just don't want to lose out on any of these 6. I'm not a Rivers or Lilliard or Lamb fan.
Who I woulda took:
2023: Miller | 2022: Duren | 2021: Bouknight, Jones | 2020: Ball | 2019: PJ | 2018: MPJ | 2017: Monk | 2016: Damian Jones | 2015: Winslow | 2014: Vonleh, Napier | 2013: McLemore | 2012: MKG | 2011: Knight, Kawhi

My tiers:

1) Davis - of course

2) Drummond - I have him in a tier of his own because he's not going to be Davis, but I'm higher on him than most, and I think he'll be an all-star in the league, but the bust potential keeps him from being in Davis' league.

3) MKG, Beal, Lillard, Robinson, Lamb, Barnes - all guys who will immediately contribute at a high level, but I don't see an All-Star game in their futures. My picks are in descending order.

4) Moultrie, Leonard, Marshall, Rivers, Waiters, Perry Jones, Harkless - they've got a ways to go, but I think a lot of them are major sleepers, particularly Moultrie, Harkless, and Leonard. They all have some amount of star potential in them. Call me crazy but I feel like Moultrie could seriously be the next LMA and Harkless could be Rudy Gay.
