The kid not only is limited talent wise, but intellectually as well.

Mo Williams signed with the Blazers today, as Portland continues to stockpile backcourt depth. They must be preparing for Lilliard to be Roy 2.0.

Blazers making their move to the 9th seed in the West and 13th overall pick. I like it. :)

Flip Saunders isn't smart enough to know that he should be crawling into a bottle.

hoopshype ranks the top 50 players in nuggets history

top 10

1. alex english
2. dan issel
3. carmelo anthony
4. david thompson
5. fat lever
6. dikembe mutombo
7. nene hilario
8. andre miller
9. antonio mcdyess
10. kiki vanderweghe

i would have put thompson at 3 ahead of melo. nene would definitely been nowhere near the top 10. i dont understand that ranking at all. mcdyess would have been 7. i'd probably consider laphonso ellis (22) for top 10 or maybe michael adams (14) or calvin natt (29). walter davis at 41 is criminal.

I didn't know hoopshype provided such BleacherReport-esque lists. I always went there just for the salaries.

I guess the ranking values longevity with the Nuggets, hence Nene's, Prof. Miller's (both wouldn't be in my top10 either) and Bill Hanzlik's (oh my god, was that guy average for the nr. 16 spot. I've always had this irrational hate for him when watching 80s Nuggets games, which are very entertaining, I might add, because he's just so damn talentless, but at the end of the day you know he made the league because of his scrappy style of play) high rankings.

I agree with bumping Thompson one spot higher and I would also have Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf and Ralph Simpson in the top10.

As for Walter Davis and Calvin Natt, who, by the way, is the bearded guy in my avatar, I can imagine some people not recognizing him by face, being relatively low, I understand the possible reasoning behind that. Both played only about 2 seasons for the Nuggets, Davis being the post-rehab Walter Davis and Calvin Natt being the post-knee surgery Calvin Natt. You could also ask why George McGinnis is so low then.

In other news, have the 76ers still not found a taker for their head coaching job? That situation is starting to look incredibly desperate and embarassing. It's a league-wide known fact that Tankapalooza is on in Philly

Brett Brown was definitely mentioned as someone who is in talks with them. But lmcguir5 does have a point. I wonder if someone will ever come up with a good and realistic (not the Bill Simmons idea, not only don't I see that happening, but I also don't really see the point of it. teams who want to tank will tank regardless. no April tournament of non-playoffs teams for the last 8th seed to get annihilated by the 1st seed later on will change their mind) plan to stop tanking. I just don't see it.

Nene was a beast in his prime, it's just that his prime was riddled with injuries and cancer. But he was a giant reason for their success during the 2000s.

hoopshype has done top 50 in blazers history. i havent looked at it yet, but i'm gonna guess the top 10 and see how i did. (knowing they take longevity with the franchise into consideration)

their rank in parenthesis

clyde drexler (1)
bill walton (2)
maurice lucas (4)
terry porter (3)
jim paxson (10)
syndey wicks (15)
lamarcus aldridge (12)
cliff robinson (7)
arvydas sabonis (14)
mychal thompson (13)
brandon roy (9)
rasheed wallace (8)
zach randolph (23)
kiki vanderweghe (18)
jerome kersey (5)
buck wiliams (11)
scottie pippen (26)

thats my top 17 in order, lets see how i did.

http://hoopshype.com/galleries/hoopshyp ... rs-history

looks like i totally missed geoff petrie. oops.

kersey too high in my opinion. he was a good starter for a long time, but that shouldnt be good enough for top 5.

happy to see they had cliff robinson at 7. one of my favorite players ever.

i got 14 of the top 17 correct. what do i win? others they had in top 17 were damon stoudamire and kevin duckworth.

fat lever should have been a token number 50. :) he did play 3 years there.

I've been reading them fats. The lack of basketball news that usually takes up my day is disconcerting.

Also great deal for the Bucks. I like Sanders a lot and he's making less than both Pek and McGee.

I'd have Knight in the top 10, easily.

I've also been reading and enjoying them, fats. Haven't had the time to spend time on the internet, moreover, it's August...so I don't feel like checking up on RealGM that often.
