No, and I doubt we would either. Those knees of his bother me too much. I might go for it if we gave up Tyrus though.

I would do this if were I Charlotte, but doubt NO would. Can't see them being high on any players. Maybe Oladipo or McLemore.

“I know everybody says the draft is weak, but I know we’re going to get a great player,” Cho said at Wednesday’s Bobcats pre-draft news conference at Time Warner Cable Arena.

Just exactly whom that “great player” is remains a mystery...

“Right now we have some guys that we’ve targeted at the No. 4 spot,” said Rod Higgins, Bobcats president of basketball operations.

Added Cho: “Every player up there (in the top of this draft) has strengths and every player has weaknesses. But we feel we’ll get a good player at No. 4.”...

And while Cho said he expected to add a good player at “No. 4,” he didn’t rule out the possibility of trading away that selection.

“That’s definitely a possibility,” Cho said. “We’re looking at every option.”

I would definitely think about trading with New Orleans for Eric Gordon.

If the deal was 6th and Gordon for 4th and Ben Gordon.

I think the Pelicans are eager to get out of his contract and an expiring deal like Ben could be the best offer they receive. Moving up to 4 may give them a better shot at landing a prospect they like a bit more than a guy at 6.

For us it kind of makes sense, because given Gordon has been hurt. I think he is really just needing a fresh start out of New Orleans and he publicly stated he didn't want to be there after they matched that offer from Phoenix and I think he has been holding out almost with "injuries" to force his way out.

Just an option, but it depends on how much we like Hendo and believe in Gordon.

I'm a huge Gordon fan going back to his days at Indiana but he is making too much money for me to justify giving them such huge salary relief and moving down in the process. Maybe if it wasn't such a recurring issue with him then I'd be more willing to go for it.

I'd mayyybe offer something like Ben and the Portland pick for him and some other small filler, if they don't bite then oh well and move on.

Was Gordon healthy this year? Maybe I'm wrong but I thought he was once again injured for most of the year. He's talented, maybe even worth his contract, but what's the point if he can't stay healthy?

Eric Gordon could be a good piece for us. I would love him if I was not so scared by his injury history.

Uh...what? Portland will be stuck in badness/purgatory for at least 5 years, unless they randomly win the lottery next year. When do you see Portland becoming a playoff team in the west? With Lillard and LMA and Batum, they didn't come close. They are capped out, Lillard is probably closer to his peak than scratching the surface, and won't get any good draft picks.

They will probably ship out LMA and rebuild, meaning we might not get the pick til '16 but it will be unprotected, and Portland will probably be bad

I agree Coolio. Knowing LMA hates Portland and wants out, I foresee a rebuild there and a sharp spike in the value of that Portland pick as a potential high lottery unprotected pick in 2016. The minute LMA's hate for Portland was quoted the value of the pick saw an uptick.

The DET pick could jump up if DET finishes bottom 5-6 next year and becomes a top-1 protected pick.

The longer we hold DET and POR picks the more the value goes up.

Soon we will be trading those picks to teams ready to rebuild and who can cash out star players now for those assets down the road.

Our rebuild is in hyperdrive right now and I have a great feeling about the draft!

The Portland pick just got a lot more valuable with the Aldridge news. If he does in fact get traded, the Blazers are going full tear-down, rebuild.

Hell, if this trade goes down (with our pick) it's entirely likely that, come 2016, we'll just swap first rounders.

Yeah POR pick is getting better. It is still hard to tell whose pick is gonna be better in 2016, ours or theirs. Hopefully theirs.

BTW Jahlil Okafor is gonna be and and done thing and likely the very firtst pick in 2015 or am I missing something? Damn that DET top 1 protection.

You can take this as true or as total BS, but here's the latest from Natter, and his "source" in the Timberwolve's front office. I thought you'd be entertained:

NattaNerNutta wrote:*Draft day update*

Talked to "Billy" early this morning and he let me in on a couple things involving our Wolves....

- he said there may be the framework for a deal depending on how the draft shakes out. Like I mentioned before, the CHA FO has a serious crush on Zeller, but doesn't want to reach at #4 (which I took as MJ not wanting to pay him #4 money. So how it could shake out is:

1) Oladipo or McLemore falls to #4, Cats pick one (Victor is priority)

2) Zeller falls to #9, we pick him.

3) a couple scenarios in place of Williams and Zeller for Oladipo/McLemore and the Bobcats' 2nd rounder next year. Or an upped ante of Williams, Zeller, and the #26 for Oladipo/McLemore and one of either future 1st round pick (Portland or Detroit) is conveyed next year, or which ever one is conveyed first, if both are available the same year, Minnesota gets the worse of the two....weired I know.

However, if Noel somehow falls to #4, all bets may be off and Charlotte goes with him.

- has been chatter involving Hendo. Possible S&T of Hendo for either Ridnour (straight up) or JJ and a future 2nd rounder (as compensation for the extra year on his contract).

He said he was ginna try and call me back before the draft, if he gives me anything else I'll make sure to share.

This seems like the worst "inside information" I have ever heard.

Why would we help Minnesota get Hendo, so we can get a third string pg. This dude is clearly just posting what Minnesota fans want to hear. Why would we give up our future pick with Portland or Detroit to get the 26th pick....

Only if we don't move one of the picks from Portland and Detroit to get it.

Didn't see that part. Yeah screw that deal. Plus we can't S & T Henderson tonight.
